Job summary
Vertafore in Hyderabad seeks a Senior Release Train Engineer embedded in an energetic agile team of software and QA engineers. You will shepherd scalable agile release trains, promote lean-agile practices, and partner with business and technical stakeholders to deliver value.
You will mentor teams, drive PI planning, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across distributed teams. The role emphasizes delivery acceleration and high-quality outcomes.

As a Senior Release Train Engineer embedded in an energetic agile team of Software and QA Engineers, you will create software products utilizing state of the art technologies. - Experience working in an Agile environment using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Scrum, XP, Kanban, or other scaled Agile model
- Work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure strategy and execution alignment.
- Facilitation of PI planning, SAFe events, and even tough conversations amongst senior leaders
- Help the scrum teams achieve delivery acceleration focused on business outcomes by reaching higher levels of scrum maturity.
- Deliver training to all areas of the organization to teach and promote Agile best practices
- Identify, elevate, and manage risks and dependencies across Teams / ART / Solution train to ensure that they are addressed in a timely manner
- Apply continuous improvement to increase efficiency of the Agile Release Train (ART) and analyze effectiveness and progress through establishing flow and other metrics.
- Manage and optimize the flow of value through the program and portfolio, proactively identifying and resolving impediments and dependencies.
- Develop and maintain metrics and reports using Rally and other tools to track progress, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other ART leaders and stakeholders to strategically plan and coordinate the delivery of value across the program and portfolio.
- Continuously evaluate and refine Agile practices, making data-driven recommendations for enhancements and driving adoption of best practices.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on SAFe and Agile methodologies, providing training, guidance, and mentorship to the organization as needed.
- Are servant leaders, strong communicators, and possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Ensure that teams have the necessary information to deliver on highest priority roadmap items
- Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.
- Understand and foster culture of quality throughout the organization
- Are self-motivated and excellent problem-solvers
- Have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar valuable experience.
- Certified SAFe RTE or similar.
- 3+ years of experience as a RTE or SAFe Agile coach for Engineering Organizations.
