TE Connectivity in Bengaluru is seeking a Power Integrity Engineer for the Digital Data Networks team. You will simulate, develop, and verify power integrity for data-center power solutions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver reliable, high-performance systems.

The ideal candidate has strong SI and PI background, excellent lab measurements and simulation skills, and proven experience with high-voltage power products. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years engineering experience with ≥5 years in power conversion and distribution.
  • Experience with Spice, Allegro, PowerDC, and Ansys Q3D.
  • High voltage and 3-phase electrical systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Design, validate, and characterize power conversion and delivery for large compute infrastructure.
  • Develop power distribution products for 800+V, 20kA server racks and data center applications.
  • Create simulation models and run simulation suites.
  • Correlate simulation results with measured lab data to validate models.
  • Collaborate with vendors to specify, procure, and validate new designs.
  • Plan and execute measurements of AC response, parasitics, and impedance.
  • Travel up to 25% as required.
  • Prepare detailed documentation and reports.

Job Responsibilities

As a Power Integrity Engineer within our Digital Data Networks Business Unit, you will play a key role in simulating, developing, implementing, and verifying the power integrity of our innovative power solution portfolio. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, you will contribute to the design, validation, scaling, deployment, and support of cutting-edge data center power solutions.

We are seeking individuals who excel at turning ambiguous requirements into precise, highly constrained solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) design, exceptional simulation and lab measurement skills, and proven experience in designing and manufacturing power products.

As the Power Integrity Engineer, a typical day may include:

  • Design, validate, and characterize power conversion and delivery systems for large compute infrastructure
  • Develop power distribution products, such as cables, connectors, and bus bars, for 800+V, 20+kA server racks and data center applications
  • Create simulation models, plan and execute simulation suites
  • Correlate simulation results with measured lab data to validate models.
  • Work with vendors to specify, procure, and validate new designs
  • Measure and characterize AC response, parasitics, and impedance of the power products.
  • Identify and resolve electrical issues by performing hands-on testing, debugging, and root cause analysis.
  • Prepare detailed documentation and reports to support product development and validation
  • Drive high-value development projects that will require you to lead and interface with large groups
  • Manage technical collaboration with customers and align internal development efforts to meet technical and functional requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience.
  • Generally requires 10 years of electrical engineering work experience and 5+ years experience in power conversation and distribution
  • Experience using electrical design tools and software packages such as Spice, Allegro, PowerDC, Ansys Q3D
  • Knowledge of voltage converter architectures
  • Familiarity with High Voltage, 3-phase electrical systems is a plus
  • Comfortable using different instruments such as network analyzer, oscilloscope, signal generator, scope and other related test equipment to measure the eye diagram
  • The geographically dispersed group requires that the candidate be self-motivating with the ability to take the initiative to accomplish tasks with limited direction
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Effectively able to build relationships with external customers and industry leaders as well as internally across all levels, disciplines, and geographies
  • Ability to spend 25% of your time traveling
