Job summary

TE Connectivity Bengaluru seeks an R&D/Product Development Engineer to develop low to medium complexity products and support the entire design cycle from CAD modeling to validation. You will work on low/high voltage connectors, interpret simulation results, and help prepare specifications.

The role requires 2+ years in development activities, proficiency in CREO, and the ability to translate simulations into robust designs while ensuring manufacturability and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in supporting Development / Product Engineering activities.
• Experience with CAD systems (CREO Part modeling & Sheet Metal).
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings/product prints.
• Interpretation of simulation results & translating into product design.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and quality tools (8D, Fishbone).
• Familiarity with tolerances, GD&T, and life cycle of products.

Responsibilities

• Assist / propose on products for customers (Low & Medium Complex).
• Provide support to Sr. engineer by creating/modifying CAD models & drawings.
• Collaborate with Simulation team and interpret results.
• Create and update product specifications.
• Evaluate quality of manufactured products (First article inspection).
• Carry out design change requests and ECR/ECN activity.
• Coordinate & resolve technical issues.
• Implement design changes based on DFM feedback.
• Assist in PV plan, testing and documentation.
• Analyze proto samples and refine product design.

Job Overview

R&D/Product Development Engineer is part of Product development team responsible to Develop individual products or specific technical elements for low to medium complex projects. This position support in development of Low Voltage / High Voltage / Charge Inlet Connectors.

Job Requirements

• Assisting / Making proposals on products (Low & Medium Complex) for customers
• Providing support to Sr. engineer / Supervisor by Creating / Modifying CAD Models & Drawings.
• Collaborate with Simulation team & interpret results.
• Create & updating product specifications.
• Evaluating the quality of manufactured products-First article Inspection report
• Carry out/execute design change requests (Engg Change management).
• Coordinating & resolving technical issues.
• Implement design changes based on the DFM review feedback
• Assists in conducting DVP (design verification) & refinement of a product design.
• Assists in creation of PV (product validation) plan, testing & documentation.
• Analysis of Proto samples & refinement of a product design.components

What Your Background Should Look Like

• B.E / B. Tech: Generally, 2+ years of experience in supporting Development / Product Engineering activities.
• Working knowledge with use of CAD systems (CREO Part modeling & Sheet Metal)
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings/product prints
• Interpretation of simulation results & translating into product design
• Working knowledge in Design for Manufacturability (DFM-Molding / Stamping / Plating)
• & DFMEA
• Working knowledge in Tolerance stack-up and GD&T
• Good Conceptual, problem solving and Analytical Skills
• Working knowledge of product development (Processes, Approaches, Tools and Techniques) & Validation
• Working knowledge in prototyping methods
• Understanding of linear and non-linear analysis
• Working knowledge of product life cycle, ability to perform design activity & produce deliverables.
• Basic Knowledge in quality tools (8D, Why Why analysis, Fish bone….)
• Working knowledge of designing with Plastics & Sheet Metal
