Job summary

OpenText is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Developer to own end-to-end testing of enterprise applications. You will design test strategies, build automation frameworks, and ensure high-quality releases across cloud and on-premise environments.

The role requires hands-on testing, experience with JBehave, Selenium, and REST/SOAP APIs, plus SQL knowledge and strong communication to lead a small testing team in an Agile setting.

YOUR IMPACT

As a Senior Quality Assurance Developer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and quality of complex enterprise applications. Working as an individual contributor, you will take ownership of end-to-end testing activities, from defining test strategy through execution, helping the organization deliver dependable, high-performing products to customers around the world.

Must-have Skills

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Manual and automated testing: Proven, hands‑on experience writing and executing test plans and test strategies for enterprise applications.
• Test automation framework development: Demonstrated ability to design and build automation frameworks from scratch, along with strong skills in writing and maintaining test scripts.

Mandatory

• JBehave: Practical, hands‑on experience using JBehave for behavior‑driven development (BDD) testing.

Nice‑to‑have Skill

• Selenium/QTP: Experience using automation tools such as Selenium or QTP to support test execution.

Additional Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 6+ years of enterprise product testing experience.
• Strong understanding of REST/SOAP API testing.
• Working knowledge of configuring and accessing databases, including SQL Server and Oracle.
• Familiarity with web servers such as IIS or Tomcat is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum environments.
• Awareness of performance and security testing principles.
• Ability to lead and guide a small team of testers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document test results and reports clearly.
• Experience testing in cloud environments is an advantage.
• Familiarity with creating and deploying VMware virtual machines is a plus.
