We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. QA Engineer with expertise in both manual and automation testing, particularly in mobile applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of MySQL, proficiency in Appium, and a comprehensive understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The Sr. QA Engineer will be responsible for leading the QA team, developing and executing test plans, and ensuring the quality of products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the QA team, providing guidance and support in testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  
• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for mobile applications/CRM/APIs etc, ensuring adequate coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
  
• Execute test cases manually, as well as design, implement, and execute automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.
  
• Conduct API testing using Postman and other tools to validate functionality, performance, and security of APIs.
  
• Conduct thorough testing of mobile applications across various platforms (iOS, Android) to identify defects, usability issues, and performance bottlenecks.
  
• Validate compatibility and responsiveness of mobile apps across different devices, screen sizes, and resolutions.
  
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks tailored for mobile application testing, leveraging industry-standard tools and technologies such as Appium with Selenium.
  
• Continuously enhance automation scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.
  
• Perform backend testing by writing SQL queries to validate data integrity, accuracy, and consistency in MySQL databases.
  
• Collaborate with developers and database administrators to identify and resolve data-related issues.
  
• Utilize JIRA or similar issue tracking tools to log defects, track testing progress, and communicate testing status to stakeholders.
  
• Generate comprehensive test reports, summarizing test results, metrics, and recommendations for improvement.
  
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Development, Product Management, DevOps) to integrate QA processes seamlessly into the SDLC.
  
• Participate in requirements analysis, design reviews, and sprint planning sessions to ensure testability and quality of deliverables.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  
• Proven experience of at least 2 years in QA leadership roles, with a focus on mobile application testing.
  
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on mobile application testing and automation testing roles.
  
• Strong proficiency in manual testing techniques and methodologies.
  
• Extensive hands-on experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks for mobile applications (e.g., Appium, XCTest, Espresso).
  
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries for backend testing and data validation in MySQL databases.
  
• Expertise in using bug tracking tools for issue tracking and project management.
  
• In-depth understanding of SDLC principles and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a passion for quality assurance.
  
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) and security testing concepts.
