Qualifications

• Deep expertise in IFRS 15 and ASC 606 revenue recognition models.
• Experience configuring Revenue Accounting Items (RAIs) and RAI Monitor (FARR_RAI_MON).
• Knowledge of contract assets/liabilities, deferred revenue, and cost matching.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage SAP RAR components including RAIs, contracts, and POBs.
• Set up price allocations using SSP and handle contract modifications (catch-ups).
• Design BRFplus decision tables and business rules to automate POB determination.
• Integrate SAP SD/Fi/CO with RAR and support BRIM/Convergent Invoicing for subscription contracts.
• Assist data migration from legacy portfolios to S/4HANA OCM and generate audit-ready schedules.

We are currently seeking a Sr. Offshore RAR (Rev Recognition & Reporting) to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Job Description -

The RAR (Revenue Accounting and Reporting) Functional Resource must possess a deep blend of financial regulatory expertise (IFRS 15 / ASC 606), strong integration knowledge with operational core modules, and hands-on technical configuration skills. The core functional resource requirements are broken down into specific competency domains below:

• Compliance & Accounting Domain Knowledge Standard Mastery:
  • Deep understanding of the 5-step revenue recognition model mandated by IFRS 15 and ASC 606 regulatory frameworks.
  • Accounting Concepts:
    • Practical experience with parallel accounting,
    • multi-currency frameworks,
    • contract assets/liabilities, and
    • deferred revenue mechanics.
  • Cost Matching: Ability to configure and sync cost recognition alongside revenue schedules to satisfy matching principles.
• Core SAP RAR Module Configuration:
  • RAI Architecture
  • Hands-on experience creating and managing Revenue Accounting Items (RAIs), including defining RAI classes and processing statuses in the RAI Monitor (FARR_RAI_MON).
  • Contract Management: Expert configuration of Revenue Accounting Contracts and Performance Obligations (POBs).
  • Transaction Allocation: Ability to set up complex price allocations using Standalone Selling Price (SSP) and manage contract modifications (e.g., cumulative catch-ups).
  • BRFplus Engine: Strong capability to design, build, and debug decision tables and business rules inside the Business Rule Framework plus (BRFplus) to automate POB determination and price formatting.
• Cross-Module Integration Requirements:
  • SAP SD Integration: Expertise mapping Sales and Distribution billing documents, sales orders, conditions types (e.g., PR00), and proof-of-delivery events into RAR.
  • SAP FI/CO Integration: Complete understanding of general ledger postings via the Universal Journal, cost allocation, and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) linkages.
  • Advanced Billings: Familiarity integrating with SAP BRIM (Billing and Revenue Innovation Management) or Convergent Invoicing for usage-based subscription contracts.
• Technical Migration & Deployment Exposure:
  • Data Migration: Experience with migration paths transferring existing legacy or classic contract portfolios over to SAP S/4HANA Optimized Contract Management (OCM).
  • Reporting Tools: Experience extracting audit-ready compliance tracking schedules via SAP Fiori analytics applications
