Job summary

Kryfs Power Components Ltd is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer in Gujarat for expert transformer tank design across various transformer types.

You will be responsible for GA and manufacturing drawings, BOM preparation, and cross-functional collaboration with production teams to ensure feasible, manufacturable designs. Candidates should have a Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, strong AutoCAD skills, and a preference for SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in transformer tank design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
• SolidWorks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop transformer tanks for Oil-Filled (ONAN) transformers, distribution transformers, power transformers, and hermetically sealed variants.
• Prepare GA drawings and manufacturing drawings.
• Create BOMs and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Collaborate with production to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
• Perform radiator and conservator sizing calculations.
• Apply sheet metal design principles and fabrication standards.
• Support efforts to optimize cost, quality, and manufacturing efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and development of transformer tanks for:
• Oil-Filled (ONAN) Transformers
• Distribution Transformers
• Power Transformers
• Hermetically Sealed Transformers
• Inverter Duty Transformers (up to 20 MVA, 33 kV)
• Preparation of:
• General Arrangement (GA) Drawings
• Manufacturing Drawings
• Bill of Materials (BOM/BOMB)
• Ensure design feasibility and manufacturability in coordination with production teams.
• Perform radiator and conservator sizing calculations.
• Apply sheet metal design principles and fabrication standards in product design.
• Support design optimization for cost, quality, and manufacturing efficiency.

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualification: Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience: 46 years of relevant experience in transformer tank design.
• Strong hands-on experience in transformer mechanical design, specifically in tanks and associated components.
• Proficiency in:
• AutoCAD (Mandatory)
• SolidWorks (Preferred)
