Job summary

Ashirvad Pipes in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to optimize stock levels, monitor deliveries, and ensure uninterrupted supply across channels.

You will analyze daily demand, evaluate suppliers, and collaborate with warehouse teams to report stock health and drive cost-effective inventory control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or PG in Management; Tier 1 institute preferred.
• 5 to 9 years of manufacturing experience in inventory management.
• Experience with stock optimization and demand planning.

Responsibilities

• Optimize inventory control procedures.
• Ensure stock adequacy for all channels and direct customers.
• Record deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory.
• Monitor demand using software and document inventory characteristics.
• Place orders to replenish stock and avoid shortages or surpluses.

• Design methods to avoid non-moving inventory; coordinate with stakeholders.

Job description

Role Purpose: This role involves Managing inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels. Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures. Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.

Inventory Management:

• Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures
• Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers
• Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
• Use software to monitor demand and document characteristics of inventory
• Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
• Analyze data to anticipate future needs
• Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships
• Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met
• Report to upper management on stock levels, issues etc.

Non-moving and slow-moving Analysis:

• Design methods to avoid the occurrence of products getting into Nonmoving Category by having frequent meetings with required stakeholders.
• For non and slow-moving inventory coordinate with all stake holders and find ways to liquidate it.
• Should do all sort of analysis related to inventory management- SLOB analysis, Inventory norm governance (Cyclic stock, safety stock etc.)

Performance Metrics:

• Quality of Stock deployment ( QSD +-)
• Inventory turnover ratio
• Inventory Days on hand
• Stock to Sales ratio.
• Inventory aging ratio

Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree with Engineering or Post Graduate in Management studies (preferably from NITIE, IIM, SP Jain) tier 1 institutes.

Work Experience: 5 to 9 years in the manufacturing setup
