Job summary

Indiano Chrome in Gujarat is seeking a Sr. Manager to lead the end-to-end setup, commissioning, and operations of a greenfield manufacturing plant in furnace-based industries.

You will build a high-performance team and drive scalable production from startup to full production capacity. The role requires 10-20 years in metals/recycling or related fields, with mandatory experience in greenfield plant setups and Electric Arc Furnace operations.

Qualifications

• 10-20 years in metal, recycling, refractory, or furnace-based industries.
• Mandatory experience in Greenfield plant setup.
• Strong exposure to Electric Arc Furnace operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant setup from construction to commissioning.
• Scale operations to achieve 100,000 TPA capacity and manage related processes.
• Oversee aluminium recovery, refractory processing, carbon recovery, and recycling operations.
• Build and lead the plant team across Production, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, Stores.
• Ensure compliance with Factory Act, GPCB and safety standards.
• Control capex and operating costs; monitor KPIs.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Manager to lead the end-to-end setup, commissioning, and operations of a greenfield manufacturing plant. The role requires strong expertise in furnace-based industries, team building, and scaling operations from setup to full production.

Key Responsibilities

Greenfield Project Execution

• Lead plant setup from construction to commissioning
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and statutory authorities
• Ensure installation of furnaces, utilities, and pollution control systems
• Drive successful trial runs and stabilization

Production & Operations

• Manage and scale operations to achieve 100,000 TPA capacity
• Oversee aluminium recovery, refractory processing, carbon recovery, and recycling operations
• Improve yield, efficiency, and production performance

Furnace Operations

Manage Electric Arc Furnace operations (2 x 3.6 MVA)

• Optimize power usage, melting efficiency, and throughput
• Ensure safe and efficient high-temperature operations

Team Building

• Build the plant team from scratch (Production, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, Stores)
• Conduct hiring, training, and workforce development
• Ensure strong shop-floor discipline and performance culture

EHS & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with Factory Act, GPCB, and statutory regulations
• Implement EHS systems and safe work practices
• Maintain zero-incident safety culture

Cost & Performance Management

• Control capex and operational costs
• Optimize raw material utilization and energy consumption
• Monitor KPIs: production, downtime, efficiency, cost

Experience
