Job summary

Saint Gobain is seeking an experienced Site Execution Engineer to lead end-to-end project delivery in a construction chemicals manufacturing facility. You will coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, and MEP works, oversee equipment erection and commissioning, and ensure safe operations in hazardous zones while managing schedules, budgets, and vendors.

The role requires 8–10 years in process-driven manufacturing, with a proven track record in greenfield and brownfield projects, and experience

Responsibilities

• End-to-end site execution of Greenfield and Brownfield projects in a construction chemicals manufacturing plant.
• Manage site execution of plant construction and expansion projects.
• Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, and MEP works.
• Oversee equipment erection, installation, and commissioning.
• Ensure erection of process systems (storage, batching, mixing, packing).
• Handle brownfield integration with ongoing production.
• Ensure EHS compliance in hazardous zones.
• Monitor project schedule, cost, and quality.
• Manage stakeholders and contractor performance.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports on site activities.

Role & responsibilities

Job Summary

Responsible for end-to-end site execution of Greenfield and Brownfield projects in a construction chemicals manufacturing plant, including civil, mechanical, MEP, utilities, equipment erection, commissioning, and project closure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage site execution of plant construction and expansion projects
  Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, and MEP works
  Oversee equipment erection, installation, and commissioning
  Ensure erection of process systems (storage, batching, mixing, packing)
  Handle brownfield integration with ongoing production
  Ensure EHS compliance (chemical handling, hazardous zones)
  Monitor project schedule, cost, and quality
  Manage stakeholders and contractor performance
  Ensure snag closure, documentation, and final handover
• Greenfield projects execution management
  Act as a site construction lead to handle site activities

Technical Skills

• Expertise in industrial construction practices
  Basic knowledge on site civil activities like excavations and foundations
  Experience in structural erection and alignments
  Strong experience in equipment erection and alignment
• Experience on erection of heavy structures
  Experience on rigging studies, lifting plans and crane operations
  Understanding mechanical tolerances, alignment, grouting and vibration controls
  Ability to interpret GA drawings, fabrication drawings and vendor drawings
  Ability to read P&ID and PFD
• Hazardous area classification (Zone 1, Zone 2) and flameproof equipment
• Experience in erection and commissioning of utility equipments ( compressors, EOT, ETP, STP etc.)
• Experience in erection of pumps and plumbing systems.
• Experience in handling of fire fighting systems.
• Ability to manage end to end erection and commissioning lifecycles
  Coordination with OEMs for installation and performance trials
• Hands-on knowledge of factory acceptance test, site acceptance test and equipment stabilization
• Experience in working at running plants with shutdown planning and execution , integration with existing process lines, retro fitting etc.
• Risk mitigation in operational plants with hazardous chemicals
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports on site activities, highlighting work completed, resource utilization and key project milestones.

Preferred candidate profile

8-10 years of experience in process-driven manufacturing industries (e.g., construction chemicals, paint, cement, polymers, petrochemicals or industrial manufacturing).

• 8+ years of experience managing site and vendors and delivering mid/small-scale CapEx projects.
