Job summary

Crest Ventures Limited in Mumbai is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to lead financial reporting for our real estate operations, ensuring compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act requirements and real estate-specific accounting standards including Ind AS 115 and project-wise cost accounting.

The role involves preparing standalone and consolidated financial statements, managing monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, coordinating with auditors and banks, and strengthening internal controls.

Qualifications

• CA with 5-10 years post-qualification in real estate/construction.
• Strong knowledge of Ind AS (incl. Ind AS 115, Ind AS 23, Ind AS 116), GST, TDS and RERA.
• Experience coordinating statutory/internal audits and with bankers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements per Ind AS/Companies Act 2013.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closing of books.
• Coordinate with auditors, internal and tax, ensuring timely audits.
• Track project-wise cost capitalization, WIP, and inventory valuation of unsold units/land.
• Maintain project cost sheets and reconcile with site/engineering teams.
• Strengthen internal financial controls and SOPs.
• Liaise with ERP systems for accurate data capture.
• Support lender/NBFC reporting requirements.

Required a qualified Chartered Accountant to for financial reporting for our real estate operations, ensuring compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act requirements, and real estate-specific accounting standards (including revenue recognition under Ind AS 115 and project-wise cost accounting).

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements as per Ind AS/Schedule III of the Companies Act, 2013
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books of accounts
• Coordinate with statutory, internal, and tax auditors; ensure timely completion of audits
• Track project-wise cost capitalization, work-in-progress (WIP), and inventory valuation of unsold units/land
• Maintain project cost sheets and reconcile with site/engineering teams
• Strengthen internal financial controls (IFC) and SOPs for accounting processes
• Work with ERP systems (Tally & Farvision) for accurate data capture
• Support statutory and bank audits, including lender/NBFC reporting requirements

Required Skills & Competencies

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5-10 years post-qualification in real estate/construction industry
• Strong knowledge of Ind AS (especially Ind AS 115, Ind AS 23, Ind AS 116), Schedule III, GST, TDS, and RERA
• Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting software (Tally & Farvision)
• Good communication skills for coordinating with auditors, banks, and cross-functional teams
• Experience handling statutory/internal audits independently
