Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking an experienced FP&A professional to shape the Asia region’s financial strategy and oversee budgeting and investment decisions. You will partner with BU leaders to optimize resource allocation and drive performance across capital and operating plans in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes financial analysis, program governance, and cross-functional collaboration with operations to monitor market trends and improve P&L impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in FP&A and strategic finance roles.
• BE/B.Tech + MBA is preferable.
• Proficiency in Excel and advanced financial modeling.
• In-depth Knowledge of accounting guidelines and tax codes.
• Experience with SAP ERP system is a plus.
• Tableau or other data visualization proficiency a plus.

Responsibilities

• Closely work with BU leaders and develop Asia region’s financial strategy and investment goals.
• You will act as a controller and financial advisor overseeing the investment portfolio ensuring optimal resource allocation and controls.
• Manage FP&A cycles and refine Capex and Opex budgeting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Partner with business unit finance and operations supporting investment decisions on corporate programs aimed at enhancing P&L and competitively positioning AMAT.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and develop frameworks to analyze and make recommendations on key programs.
• Track program milestones and KPIs to monitor progress against budget and schedule.
• Partner with operations to monitor ecosystem and competitive trends in Asia region.
• Determine and execute internal commerce allocations for shared services groups
