Job Summary:
The E&M Manager/AGM will be responsible for planning, execution, and management of all electrical and mechanical works for water infrastructure projects including Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), pump houses, and associated transmission/distribution systems. The role involves ensuring timely project delivery, quality compliance, safety adherence, and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Execution & Management
- Lead E&M execution for WTP, STP, water supply schemes, and pump house installations
- Review and approve designs, drawings, and technical specifications
- Ensure timely procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of E&M equipment
- Monitor project schedules, milestones, and resource allocation
- Coordinate with design consultants for electrical and mechanical system design
- Review BOQs, load calculations, hydraulic designs, and equipment sizing
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards (IS, IEC, CPHEEO, etc.)
- Manage installation and commissioning of:
- Pumps (vertical turbine, centrifugal, submersible)
- Motors, MCC panels, VFDs, transformers
- SCADA/PLC automation systems
- DG sets, LT/HT panels, cabling systems
- Ensure energy-efficient and reliable system design
- Finalize technical specifications and evaluate vendors
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers for E&M works
- Track procurement schedules and ensure timely delivery
- Lead pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
- Ensure performance testing and system integration
6. Operation & Maintenance Support
- Support O&M team post-commissioning
- Ensure reliability and uptime of systems
7. Quality, Health & Safety
- Ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures and safety standards
- Conduct inspections and audits
- Implement safety protocols at site
8. Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with clients, consultants, government authorities, and internal teams
- Participate in review meetings and project reporting
