Job summary

Tata Communications is seeking an experienced network professional to manage, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise SD-WAN and related infrastructure in a 24x7 operations environment.

You will act as the highest level of technical escalation, ensuring network availability, performance, and security while coordinating with vendors and ISPs for issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Experience managing SD-WAN and network infrastructure in a 24x7 operations environment.
• Proficient in configuring SD-WAN policies, application-aware routing, path selection and WAN optimization.
• Ability to perform RCA for SD-WAN incidents and manage lifecycle activities.
• Coordinate with ISPs, carriers and vendors for issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage SD-WAN infrastructure across sites and regions.
• Configure SD-WAN policies, routing, and WAN optimization features.
• Perform RCA for SD-WAN incidents and manage device onboarding.
• Ensure network connectivity across internet, MPLS, broadband and LTE.
• Support LAN, WAN, WLAN and Data Center networks.
• Handle incident, problem and change management activities.
• Act as L3 escalation point for critical network incidents.
• Lead Major Incident Management calls and prepare post-incident reports.
• Assist during security reviews and vulnerability assessments.

Responsible for managing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise SD-WAN and network infrastructure in a 24x7 operations environment. Acts as the highest level of technical escalation within operations, ensuring network availability, performance, security, and service continuity.

• Monitor and manage SD-WAN infrastructure across multiple sites and regions.
• Configure and troubleshoot SD-WAN policies, application-aware routing, path selection, and WAN optimization features.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for SD-WAN-related incidents.
• Manage device onboarding, provisioning, and lifecycle activities.
• Ensure optimal performance of internet, MPLS, broadband, and LTE connectivity.
• Support and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Data Center networks.
• Troubleshoot routing and switching issues involving:
  • BGP
  • OSPF
  • EIGRP
  • Static Routing
  • VLANs
  • STP
  • HSRP/VRRP
• Manage network performance and capacity planning.
• Handle incident, problem, and change management activities.
• Incident and Problem Management
  • Act as L3 escalation point for critical network incidents.
  • Conduct detailed packet analysis using tools such as Wireshark.
  • Coordinate with ISPs, carriers, and vendors for issue resolution.
  • Lead Major Incident Management (MIM) calls and provide technical guidance.
  • Prepare post-incident reports and preventive action plans.
• Security and Compliance
  • Support firewall and network security operations.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security policies.
  • Review access requests and network security changes.
  • Assist during vulnerability assessments and audits.
• Change and Release Management
  • Review and implement network-related changes.
  • Perform risk assessment and rollback planning.
  • Participate in maintenance windows and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Validate successful implementation post-change.
