Job summary

Tart Labs is seeking a skilled QA Manual Tester to join our team in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The role focuses on ensuring quality across web and mobile apps, APIs, and integrations, with a strong emphasis on detailed test cases and defect resolution.

With 3+ years of testing experience, you will work closely with developers, designers, and project managers to deliver reliable products for our clients while adhering to Agile/Scrum methodologies and best QA practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven experience as a Manual Tester.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and Agile/Scrum.
• Experience with bug-tracking and project management tools such as ZOHO, JIRA, ClickUp.
• Ability to write structured, clear, and comprehensive test cases, test plans, and test reports.
• Hands-on experience testing web, mobile apps, and APIs.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs, and JSON.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication to articulate issues to developers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Test web, mobile, and API-based applications to ensure functionality, performance, and usability.
• Identify defects, log them clearly, and work with the development team to resolve.
• Derive structured test scenarios, test cases, and test data from user stories and PRDs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and smooth releases.
• Perform smoke, sanity, regression, re-testing, cross-browser, cross-device, and UAT.
• Develop, maintain, and improve test documentation including test cases and reports.
• Execute manual testing across iOS, Android, responsive web, and internal tools.
• Perform API testing using Postman/Insomnia and validate request/response workflows.
• Validate integrations with third-party services, payment gateways, authentication systems, and microservices.
• Participate in sprint planning, requirement analysis, and QA sign-off processes.
• Analyze logs and screenshots to identify root causes and support the dev team.
• Contribute to QA process improvements and knowledge sharing.

We are seeking a skilled QA Manual Tester with over 5 years of hands-on experience to join our team at Tart Labs. As a Manual Tester in our organization, you will ensure the stability, usability, and overall quality of our web and mobile applications. You will collaborate closely with developers, designers, project managers, and QA leads to validate features, identify defects, write detailed test cases, and ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality products for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Test web, mobile, and API-based applications to ensure they meet functional, performance, and usability standards.
• Identify defects & inconsistencies, log them clearly, and follow through to resolution with the development team.
• Derive structured test scenarios, test cases, and test data from user stories, PRDs, and client requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and smooth release cycles.
• Perform smoke, sanity, regression, re-testing, cross-browser, cross-device, and UAT activities as needed.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve test documentation including test cases, test plans, checklists, and test reports.
• Execute manual testing across iOS, Android, responsive web, and commonly used internal tools.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman/Insomnia, validating request/response workflows and error handling.
• Validate integrations with third-party services, payment gateways, authentication systems, and microservices.
• Participate actively in sprint planning, requirement analysis, refinement, and QA sign-off processes.
• Analyze logs, screenshots, and console/network traces to identify root causes and support the dev team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, workflows, and quality gates.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce bugs and ensure fixes meet acceptance criteria.
• Assist in maintaining test environments, datasets, credentials, and testing infrastructure.
• Ensure releases follow commonly used QA standards and provide clear go/no-go recommendations.
• Stay updated with testing trends, participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, and support internal QA initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of proven experience as a Manual Tester.
