Job summary

Tart Labs is seeking a QA Manual Tester with around 3 years of hands-on experience to join our team in Coimbatore. You will validate web and mobile apps, write test cases, and ensure high-quality deliverables for clients.

You will collaborate with developers, designers, project managers, and QA leads, performing full QA cycles including smoke, regression, cross-browser testing, and API validation using tools like Postman. Excellent communication essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, IT, or related field.
• 3+ years as a Manual Tester with hands-on QA experience.
• Solid knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum.
• Experience with bug-tracking tools such as JIRA, Zoho, and ClickUp.
• Ability to write clear, structured test cases and reports.

Responsibilities

• Test web, mobile, and API-based applications to ensure they meet functional, performance, and usability standards.
• Identify defects and inconsistencies, log them clearly, and follow through to resolution with the development team.
• Derive structured test scenarios, test cases, and test data from user stories, PRDs, and client requirements.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and smooth release cycles.
• Perform smoke, sanity, regression, re-testing, cross-browser, cross-device, and UAT activities as needed.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve test documentation including test cases, test plans, checklists, and test reports.
• Execute manual testing across iOS, Android, responsive web, and commonly used internal tools.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman/Insomnia, validating request/response workflows and error handling.
• Validate integrations with third‑party services, payment gateways, authentication systems, and micro services.
• Participate actively in sprint planning, requirement analysis, refinement, and QA sign-off processes.
• Analyze logs, screenshots, and console/network traces to identify root causes and support the dev team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, workflows, and quality gates.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce bugs and ensure fixes meet acceptance criteria.
• Assist in maintaining test environments, datasets, credentials, and testing infrastructure.
• Ensure releases follow commonly used QA standards and provide clear go/no-go recommendations.
• Stay updated with testing trends, participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, and support internal QA initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

• 3+ years of proven experience as a Manual Tester.

• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Experience with bug-tracking and project management tools such as ZOHO, JIRA, ClickUp, and others.

• Ability to write structured, clear, and comprehensive test cases, test plans, and test reports.

• Hands‑on experience testing web applications, mobile apps, APIs, and responsive/cross‑browser UIs.

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs, JSON, and browser debugging tools.

• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.

• Good communication skills to articulate issues clearly to developers and stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently across multiple projects.
