Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking a senior electrical/electronic engineer to design, develop, and integrate lighting electronics across PV, CV, and special vehicle segments. The role emphasizes feature-based system requirements, architecture, and rigorous scrutiny of schematics to optimize cost and reliability.

The incumbent will manage design releases, validation cycles, and field issue resolutions while leveraging DFMEA and problem-solving tools.

Qualifications

• BE/B Tech/M Tech in Electrical & Electronics or Mechatronics.
• 13–16 years of experience in automotive electronics design and development.
• Knowledge of wiring harness, electronics hardware, CAN FD and VCI tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and integrate electronics in lighting.
• Define system requirement documents based on feature content.
• Lamp electronics architecture definition.
• Review schematics and propose cost optimisations.
• Manage design release, development, validation and field failures.
• Knowledge of circuits, logic, software integration, CAN FD, VCI tools.
• Fluent with PC tools like Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• To design, develop and integrate electronics in lighting
• Advance thinking & Identify technology roadmap for lighting for different vehicle segments in PV, CV & FD segment
• Benchmarking of lighting technologies
• Define system requirement document based on feature content
• Lamp electronics architecture definition
• POC for new technologies
• Vehicle interface, Device transmittal, function description document management
• Review schematic and propose cost optimisation, system robustness, EMI-EMC
• Thorough understanding of component datasheet for IC, actives, passives & LEDs
• Managing and tracking of design release, development, validation & field failures
• Should have additional knowledge in Wiring harness, Electronics HW
• Review & release technical specifications & other documentations
• Should have detail knowledge on circuits, logic,software integration, CAN FD, VCI tools
• Must demonstrate a high degree of problem solving ability, especially in the field of expertise. Usage of tools used in DFMEA , problem solving tools and techniques and project management tools ,
• Fluent in use of personal computer programs such as Access, Excel, Word, Power Point, project etc.

Experience

13-16 yrs

Industry Preferred

Any other OEM or Tier I like Valeo, Magnetti Marrelli, Varroc etc and component suppliers like TI, AD, Elmos, Infineon, etc
