Job summary

Lumen Technologies is hiring a Senior SAP S/4HANA Data & Reporting Developer in Bengaluru to design, develop, and support scalable reporting solutions across finance, procurement, and P2P. You will work with ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, OData, and Fiori/UI5 to deliver robust data models and reports.

The role involves collaborating with functional teams to translate requirements into technical designs, optimize performance, and ensure adherence to SAP best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of SAP ABAP development experience, incl. ABAP on HANA.
• 3+ years of SAP Fiori/UI5 development experience, incl. front-end-backend integration.
• Strong experience with CDS Views, AMDP, SQL Script, OData, SAP Gateway, and S/4HANA data models.
• Experience with RAP managed/unmanaged scenarios, SAP NetWeaver, and Fiori Launchpad configuration.
• Familiar with SAPUI5 controls, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, JSON, XML, MVC, and debugging.
• Strong understanding of performance tuning, data extraction, and optimization in SAP HANA.

Responsibilities

• Optimize ABAP programs and SQL scripts for performance in HANA environments.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams from requirements to deployment and support.
• Support S/4HANA migrations, upgrades, and stabilization efforts.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior SAP S/4HANA Data & Reporting Developer to design, build, optimize, and support reporting and technical solutions across the SAP S/4HANA landscape. This role will develop scalable reports, data models, integrations, and Fiori-enabled solutions that improve visibility, decision-making, and operational efficiency across finance, procurement, and Procure-to-Pay processes. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, OData, Fiori/UI5, SQL scripting, and S/4HANA data models, along with the ability to partner with functional, technical, and business teams from requirements through deployment and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and support SAP S/4HANA reports and data solutions using ABAP, CDS Views, AMDP, and HANA SQL scripting.
• Develop and maintain OData services, Fiori/UI5 applications, tiles, catalogs, and Launchpad components that support business reporting and workflow needs.
• Support RICEF development, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms, with emphasis on S/4HANA standards and reusability.
• Build and maintain RAP scenarios, including managed and unmanaged models, where applicable.
• Optimize existing ABAP programs, reports, data extraction logic, and SQL scripts for performance in the HANA environment.
• Partner with business analysts, functional teams, architects, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical designs and delivery plans.
• Support S/4HANA migration, upgrade, and stabilization work by adapting legacy ABAP objects and reports to current S/4HANA standards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, unit test results, code reviews, deployment notes, and support materials.
• Support UAT execution, defect triage and resolution, regression testing, deployment validation, and production support activities.
• Ensure solutions follow SAP best practices, internal development standards, naming conventions, and change management processes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 12+ years of SAP ABAP development experience, including strong hands‑on experience with ABAP on HANA.
• 3+ years of SAP Fiori/UI5 development experience, including front‑end‑backend integration.
• Strong experience with CDS Views, AMDP, SQL Script, OData services, SAP Gateway, and S/4HANA data models.
• Experience with RAP managed and unmanaged scenarios, SAP NetWeaver, and Fiori Launchpad configuration.
• Familiarity with SAPUI5 controls, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, JSON, XML, MVC architecture, and application debugging.
• Strong understanding of report performance tuning, data extraction, and optimization in SAP HANA environments.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server, SSIS, stored procedures, and scheduled data jobs.
• Experience creating finance or operational reports, including FI add‑in or related reporting tools.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments using Jira or similar work management tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP S/4HANA, ABAP, Fiori/UI5, or related certification.
• Functional knowledge of SAP finance, procurement, Procure-to-Pay, master data, and cross‑functional business process flows.
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud or other SAP reporting and analytics tools.
• Experience with enterprise data warehouses, data marts, cloud‑based data platforms and modern data engineering practices.
• Experience with Databricks, Visual Studio, Eclipse/ADT, SAP GUI, BAS/Web IDE, transport management, Git, Solution Manager, ChaRM, Jira/Azure DevOps, and ServiceNow.
• Experience working in Agile, hybrid, or transformation‑focused project environments.
