Responsibilities

• Perform internal quality controls and assist with external QA programs.
• Ensure accurate processing, documentation, and LIS/LIMS reporting.
• Follow SOPs, biosafety guidelines, and waste management protocols.
• Monitor reagents/inventory and equipment maintenance schedules.
• Report QC issues and discrepancies to supervisor; support daily workflow.
• Mentor junior technicians and uphold lab quality standards.

The candidate will be responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory tests, ensuring the accuracy of test results, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the smooth day-to-day functioning of the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, receive, label, and process clinical samples such as blood, urine, stool, and other specimens.
• Perform routine laboratory investigations in biochemistry, hematology, clinical pathology, and other relevant departments based on experience.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment.
• Perform internal quality control procedures and assist with external quality assessment programs.
• Ensure accurate sample processing, result documentation, and timely reporting through the laboratory information system (LIS/LIMS).
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), biosafety protocols, and biomedical waste management guidelines.
• Monitor reagent inventory, consumables, and equipment maintenance schedules.
• Identify and report abnormal quality-control results, equipment issues, and sample discrepancies to the authorized supervisor.
• Guide junior technicians and support daily laboratory workflow.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with applicable laboratory quality standards.

Educational Qualifications

• DMLT or B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) preferred.
• Equivalent recognized laboratory technology qualifications may be considered, subject to the role requirements.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with automated laboratory analyzers.
