Job summary

Blue Star in Pune, Maharashtra is seeking an HVAC Design Verification Engineer to join our project team. You will perform heat load estimations, pressure drop calculations for air and water sides, and prepare water and electrical schemes for complex cooling systems.

You will evaluate equipment like chillers, pumps, AHUs, cooling towers, HRUs, fans, and ductless ventilation, study tender specs, apply value engineering to cut costs, and prepare final BOQ and variation statements to ensure project

Qualifications

• Thorough design verification including heat load estimation and pressure drop calculations.
• Knowledge of project equipment selection such as chillers, pumps, AHU and cooling systems.
• Ability to study tender specifications and ensure compliance with them.
• Apply value engineering to reduce project costs and improve efficiency.
• Prepare final Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and variation statements.

Responsibilities

• Perform heat load estimations and pressure drop calculations for air and water sides.
• Prepare water and electrical schemes for HVAC projects.
• Evaluate and select equipment (chillers, AHU, pumps, cooling towers, HRUs, fans).
• Review tender specifications and ensure project alignment with them.

• Must be thorough with the design verification which includes heat load estimation, pressure drop calculation for air side and water side, also preparation of water side scheme as well as electrical scheme
• Have a good knowledge of various equipments used in the projects and selection of the equipments like chiller, pumps, AHU, cooling tower, heat recovery units, fans, ductless ventilation system, etc
• Study of tender specification and ensure project is carried out as per the same.
• Apply value engineering to reducing cost of the project
• Preparation of final Bills of Quantity (BOQ) and variation statement
