Job summary

Philips Iberica SAU in Bengaluru seeks a Sr Hardware Engineering Lab Specialist to lead hands-on PCB rework, wiring, panel assembly, and basic PCB handling. You will manage equipment inventory, calibration schedules, and ensure strict safety and ESD practices while documenting lab activities.

This onsite role requires coordinating procurement and logistics for project labs. This position emphasizes troubleshooting, collaboration with verification teams, and supporting test setups and automation

Qualifications

• 10+ years in an engineering laboratory environment.
• Familiarity with lab safety, ESD protection and quality control.
• Ability to perform basic electrical/mechanical measurements and data logging.
• Experience in building test setups and automation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory of equipment, components, tools, and consumables.
• Maintain calibration schedules and records.
• Conduct laboratory tests per SOPs and document results.
• Drive procurement activities and coordinate logistics for shipments.
• Assemble, disassemble, and modify mechanical components and test jigs.

Your role:

• Must possess hands-on experience in PCB rework including soldering, de-soldering, component replacement, and minor circuit modifications while adhering to ESD-safe practices and procedures.
• Must have hands-on experience in wiring, building cable harness, panel assembly and basic PCB handling with a strong understanding of quality and safety practices
• Manage inventory of equipment's, components, tools, consumables, and test accessories to support ongoing engineering work
• Maintain the equipment calibration schedules and records up to-date
• Ensure laboratory safety protocols are consistently followed to maintain a safe working environment and maintain proper documentation and records of laboratory activities.
• Perform laboratory tests per SOPs while maintaining accurate records for quality and compliance
• Drive and handle procurement activities related to project and laboratory requirements
• Managing and co-ordinate with logistics for various shipments related to project and lab
• Assist in assembling, disassembling, and modifying mechanical components, test Jigs and prepare prototype.
• Operate and maintain basic machine tools (torque tools, 3D printer, etc) and laboratory equipment's ensuring cleanliness and readiness for use.
• Lead in troubleshooting equipment issues and resolving technical problems as needed
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve common goals and objectives
• Support verification and validation teams during test execution as required, including setup, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company's facilities.
