Job summary

Total Automation Solutions (TAS) is seeking a hardware and software engineer to design HVAC control systems compliant with BAS standards (US geography) and to deliver detailed submittals to customers, consultants, and installation teams.

You will select sensors, actuators, controllers and gateways, develop sequences of operation, create BOMs and electrical schematics, and prepare as-built drawings and operation manuals. Experience with Niagara/Metasys and legacy migration challenges is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Control Networking and mechanical equipment like chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, VAVs, FCUs.
• Familiar with DDC systems from Honeywell and JCI; aware of legacy migration challenges.
• Niagara/Metasys knowledge and experience preferred.
• Ability to write simple software controls implementations.

Responsibilities

• Design hardware and software for HVAC control systems per BAS standards.
• Prepare submittals, BOMs, network layouts, and electrical schematics.
• Create OT network/automation architecture for the project.
• Coordinate drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
• Produce as-built drawings and proper operation manuals.

Job Description

Using established BASsystemstandardsinUSgeography,responsibleforhardwaredesignsand softwareprogrammingforHVACcontrolsystemsto meettheintentoftheprojectrequirements. Provides detailed information and submittals tocommunicate design and operation to customers, consultants, field installationteam and subcontractors.

• Creates hardware designs fromMechanical drawings, Piping and Instrumentation and Electrical Drawings. Hasability to develop sequence of operations those will be implementedintheBuildingAutomationControllers,prepareoverallbillof material, network layouts andelectrical schematics as required. Create OT network/automation Architecturefor the project.
  
• Coordinates the creation of necessary drawings and equipmentschedules for submittals and installation.
  
• HasabilitytoselectSensors,Actuators,Controllers,gateways,fromthesuppliersand create overall Bill of quantities.
  
• Gathersfieldchangesfromtheprojectteamandcreatesas-builtdrawingsPrepares proper documentation and/or manuals for system operation.
  

Requirements

• KnowledgeofControlsNetworking,MechanicalequipmentlikeChillers,Cooling Towers,AHUs,VAVs,FCUs,Non-DDCsystemslikeUnitHeaters,Thermostatbasedcontrols,is familiar withmajorDDC systemsfromHoneywell and JCI , isawareof challengesin legacy migration projects. Niagara/ Metasys knowledge and experience preferred.
