Job summary

Total Automation Solutions (TAS) is seeking an experienced PLC/RTU programmer to develop ladder logic programming and function blocks. You will interface PLC/RTU systems with field assets, design SCADA graphics, and establish reliable communication between SCADA, PLCs, and third-party systems.

You will troubleshoot, upgrade SCADA hardware/software, and coordinate with the HO IT team to ensure site operations run smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience with IEC 61131-3 standard for programming industrial control systems.
• Experience with communication protocols and their implementations.
• Experience with PLC and SCADA modules and their implementations.
• Understanding of network switches and topologies is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC/RTU programming using ladder logic and Function block diagrams.
• Interface PLC/RTU with field assets like compressors, dispensers and flow meters via Modbus, Profibus and Profinet.
• Design and configure SCADA graphics; map tags and establish SCADA-PLC/RTU communication.
• Interfacing and commissioning third-party systems with SCADA using OPC or other protocols.
• Knowledge of DNP3 and MOTT Protocols.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC/RTU systems and keep records.
• SCADA hardware/software upgrades and maintenance as required.
• Coordinate with HO IT support to keep site systems running.
• Handle customer complaints with compliant numbers and sign-offs.
• Establish communication between SCADA and RTU/PLC panels via GPRS modem, including testing.
• Proficiency with profibus, Modbus, TCP/IP, and Modbus communications.

Job Description

• Develop PLC/RTU Programming using ladder logic development and Function block diagrams.
  
• Interface PLC/RTU system with various field assets such as compressors, dispensers and flow meter usingcommunication protocol like Modbus, Profibus and Profinet.
  
• Design and configure SCADA graphics; map tags and establish communication between SCADA and PLC/RTUsystems.
  
• Interfacing and commissioning of third party systems with SCADA using OPC or other communication protocols.
  
• Knowledge of DNP3 and MOTT Protocols.
  
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of the commissioned PLC/RTU system and to keep record of the same.
  
• SCADA hardware and software upgradation/Maintenance on periodic basis as required and its maintenance ofthe same.
  
• Interaction with back end team in HO for IT Support, services and understanding to get site system in runningcondition.
  
• Handle customer complaints by providing the compliant number and attending the same with resolution as wellgetting sign offs.
  
• Establish communication between SCADA and RTU/PLC panels via GPRS modem, including configuration andtesting.
  
• Should be proficient of protocols such as profibus, Modbus, TCP/IP, Modbus communication
  

Requirements

PLC/RTU Programming as per IEC 61131-3 standard for Programming Industrial Control System.

Experience on communication protocol and its implementation.

Experience with various PLC and SCADA modules and their implementation.

Understanding of network switches and topologies will be an added advantage.
