Job summary

Total Automation Solutions (TAS) invites applications for a Bid & Tender Engineer to drive techno-commercial proposals for complex automation projects. You will coordinate with engineering, sales and procurement to prepare bids, evaluate technical specifications, and ensure compliant, cost-effective solutions for clients across industries in India.

You will support the full bid lifecycle, develop schedules, and deliver compelling techno-commercial offers in collaboration with BD and Sales teams,

Qualifications

• Experience with control instrumentation and electrical systems in industrial settings.
• Familiar with PLC, SCADA, DCS architectures and integration.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and vendor products.
• Ability to evaluate electronics/instrumentation products for technical fit and cost.
• Understanding tendering terminology and bid documentation for government/private tenders.
• Experience managing tender processes and portals, aligning with product portfolios.
• Support sales through bid lifecycle, from pre-bid to bid opening.
• Prepare bid schedules, docs repositories and timelines.
• Draft techno-commercial offers in coordination with BD and sales.
• Forecast bids and estimate costs to meet budgets.
• Lead system sizing, estimation, and detailed engineering for projects.
• Serve as primary client contact for bid communications; coordinate with teams.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders; provide pre-sales technical support.
• Handle customer clarifications and negotiation on technical/ commercial terms.

Job Description

• Strong understanding of Instrumentation& Control system and electrical systems, including various type of PLC,SCADA platform, their modules and operating philosophies.
• Ability to understand bothstandalone and integrated PLC, SCADA, DCS and IoT system and develop systemarchitecture accordingly.
• Good knowledge of majorindustrial communication protocols, including wired and wireless technologies andfamiliarity with products from multiple industrialautomation brands .
• Proficiency in performing technical evaluation of multiple electronic and instrumentation products,ensuring proper selection based on technical suitability andcost-effectiveness.
• Awareness of commercialterminology and documentation used in government and Private tenders andproposals.
• Well-versed in thecomplete tendering process, including managing multiple tender portals,identifying relevant opportunities aligned with TAS Product and SolutionPortfolio, preparing tender.
• Participate in reverseauctions and support the sales team throughout the entire bid lifecycle, frompre-bid stage to commercial bid opening.
• Prepare and maintain bidschedules, timelines, and document repositories effectively.
• Prepare techno-commercialoffers, quotations, and bid proposals based on client requirements, incoordination with Business Development and Sales teams.
• Prepare bid forecasts andcost estimates aligned with overall bid budgets and commercial objectives.
• Performproject-based system sizing, estimation, and detailed engineering activities.
• Act as the primary pointof contact between clients and the internal Bid Team for all bid-relatedcommunications.
• Ensure effectivecoordination and communication with internal teams, external stakeholders,clients, and vendors.
• Provide pre-salestechnical support, including participation in client meetings, presentations,and technical discussions.
• Independently handlecustomer communication, including clarification of technical requirements andnegotiation support for technical and commercial terms.
