Job summary

Mahindra Lifespaces is seeking an experienced EHS Professional to support safety management on construction projects. You will assist with developing and implementing safety plans, monitoring training, investigations, and medical records, and ensuring policy adherence.

The role involves coordinating with project heads, safety in-charges, and cross-functional teams to promote a strong safety culture and ensure statutory compliance across sites.

Qualifications

• Any Graduate.
• Diploma or Certificate in EHS from a recognized institute.
• 5-8 years of work experience in construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with projects to prepare monthly safety statistics and reports.
• Understand company policies and update concerned teams.
• Maintain records of training, exposure monitoring, investigations and medical examinations.
• Assess risks and propose mitigations for tasks.
• Conduct regular site inspections and recommend corrective measures.
• Implement ISO 45001:2018 policy and SOPs.
• Prepare project EHS plans and SOPs for field activities.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure statutory compliance.
• Assist Project Manager and Safety In-Charges with EHS programs.
• Form safety committees and prepare minutes of meetings.
• Promote safety awareness through campaigns.
• Preserve EHS documents using company formats.

Job description

Job Purpose:

To assist manager / AM Safety at Site or Corporate to ensure safety of all associates at the respective location.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinating with all Projects work on statistics, preparing consolidated statistics, verify the data and prepare monthly performance report
• Understanding the Policy, targets and objectives of company and update all concerned
• Maintaining records of training, exposure monitoring, investigations and medical examinations
• Assessing the Risk associated with various task and propose the mitigation Plan
• Conducting regular Inspection for potential hazard, unsafe actions etc. and suggest suitable improvement/ corrective measures and escape to Management
• Implementing Company EHS Policy, Procedures and to fulfil the requirements of ISO 45001: 2018
• Preparing project EHS Plan, standard operating procedure (SOP) for various activities for practical implementation
• Coordinating with concerned department to ensure statute compliance
• Assisting the Project Manager and coordinate with Safety in charges for EHS program within corresponding work groups
• Collaborating with Project heads & Safety In charges in formulating the safety committee, preparation of Agenda, Action Plan and preparing the Minutes of Meeting
• Enhancing safety awareness through promotional activities like safety campaigns etc.
• Following the formats defined by the company and preserve the documents.

Functional Competencies:

• Knowledge of Construction safety, Fire and Environment
• Good understanding on Statute requirements on OHS Statistics in construction
• Good communication and Understanding on Best practices followed in Construction

Qualification and Experience:

• Any Graduate
• Diploma / Certificate in EHS from recognized institute
• 5-8 years of work experience
• Should have experience in Construction projects.
