Job summary

Responsibilities

Job Description

The incumbent would be responsible for the following:

• Infrastructure Maintenance & Upkeep
  • Maintaining factory buildings, internal roads, drainage systems, and other civil infrastructure.
  • Ensuring proper functioning of sanitary systems, water distribution networks, and drinking water facilities.
  • Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance of civil assets.
  • Spare Management, ensuring availability of spares, stock taking, and replenishment of spares as needed for Preventive maintenance.
• Project Planning & Execution
  • Planning and execute capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects related to infrastructure development.
  • Preparing project estimates, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Monitoring project progress and ensure timely completion within budget.
• CSR & Company-Owned Properties (Maintenance)
  • Coordinating and supervising civil works related to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
  • Managing upkeep and maintenance of company-owned residential and commercial properties.
• Regulatory Compliance & Liaison
  • Liaise with government and regulatory bodies such as the Inspectorate of Factories & Boilers, Industrial Development Corporation, and local authorities.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory norms and obtaining necessary approvals and clearances.
• Safety & Contractor Coordination
  • Ensuring contractors comply with safety regulations and company policies during civil work execution.
  • Conducting safety audits and risk assessments for civil projects.
  • Identifying and onboarding contractors for civil, plumbing, carpentry, and other infrastructure-related works.
• Technical Documentation & CAD
  • Preparing and updating plant layout drawings and civil infrastructure plans using CAD software.
  • Maintaining accurate records of civil assets and modifications.
• Procurement & Billing Support
  • Preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for civil-related works.
  • Preparing indents and coordinating with the procurement team for timely release of purchase orders.
  • Validating and certifying measurements of work carried out.
  • Certifying contractor bills and support finance in processing payments.
• Organizational Imperatives
  • Adhering to safety protocols, IMS, compliance, and organizational initiatives such as Kaizen, Business Excellence etc.

Essential Experience :

2 years of relevant work experience for Degree in Engineering / 4 years for Diploma in Engineering (Civil Engineering)
