Job Description

• Tool Designing- Designing and developing tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges using SolidWorks and 2D CAD software for motor manufacturing process development or optimization- Independently working on drawings of Winding tooling for Motors - both Hermetic and BLDC (Brushless Direct Current)- Applying GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure dimensional accuracy and manufacturability.- Maintaining detailed documentation of tooling designs, revisions, and process changes
• Cost Optimization -Tool cost Optimization by way of Material or Manufacturing method optimization- Evaluating tooling feasibility, cost, and performance for new product introductions - Knowledge about various manufacturing processes like wire cutting, CNC (Computer Numerical Control), VMC (Vertical Machining Center), Grinding etc. and various coatings- Implementing PMO (Project Management Office) projects.
• NPD (New Product Development) Support-Assistance in reducing NPD time by developing tools required for prototype development- Supporting Process Engineering team for Tool development required for development and optimization of processes for Motor Manufacturing. - Collaborating with Production, Quality and R&D teams to optimize tooling and process flow. - Supporting installation, testing, and validation of new tools and equipment. - Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards
