Job summary

Texmo Industries in Coimbatore, India, seeks an Assistant Engineer - Design (Electrical) to design motors and systems, create winding layouts and BOMs, and collaborate across cross-functional teams.

The candidate will verify designs, develop testing methods, and ensure quality and documentation; BE in Electrical Engineering with motor design experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in design and development of motors, especially AC induction motors and BLDC / synchronous reluctance motors.
• Proficient in ANSYS and AutoCAD; SolidWorks is a plus.
• B.E. in Electrical Engineering with motor design experience.

Responsibilities

• Design systems and products by reasoning from first principles and applying fundamental concepts of electromagnetics.
• Create stamping drawings, schematic of winding layout, and BOMs to support manufacturing, testing, and assembly.
• Collaborate with Quality, Supply chain, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Sales, and Service teams to implement new products.
• Provide technical and engineering support for day-to-day product development and process improvements.
• Develop alternatives and options for further development of new products and improvement of existing products.
• Verify system and product capabilities through design verification and testing.
• Design testing methods to ensure product quality and validate finished products and sub-systems.
• Participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, and designs.
• Prepare product reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends.
• Keep design files up to date and stored per department procedures.

Responsibilities

1. Design systems and products by reasoning from first principles and applying fundamental concepts of electromagnetics.
2. Create stamping drawings, schematic of winding layout, and Bill of Materials (BOMs) to support manufacturing, testing, and assembly.
3. Work closely with Cross-Functional Teams like Quality, Supply chain, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Sales, and Service teams to ensure flawless implementation of new products.
4. Provide technical and engineering support for day-to-day actions related to product development and process improvements.
5. Work with fellow engineers to develop alternatives and options for further development of new products and improvement of existing products.
6. Confirm system and product capabilities through design verification and testing.
7. Assure system and product quality by designing testing methods, validating finished products and sub-systems, and confirming manufacturing, assembly, and installation processes.
8. Participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, and designs.
9. Prepare product reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends.
10. Ensure design files and information are kept up to date, and stored in accordance with departmental procedures.

Qualifications

• Design and Development of Motors, especially AC induction motors and special machines like BLDC, synchronous reluctance motors, etc.
• Exposure to ANSYS and AutoCAD (mandatory); SolidWorks (optional).
• B.E. in Electrical Engineering with experience in motor design and development, especially in AC induction motors and special machines like BLDC, synchronous reluctance motors, etc.
