Job summary

CMR Group in Odisha is seeking a Production Planning & Control executive to manage rolling and daily production plans for the PPC department. You will base plans on orders, inventory, machine lead times, manpower, and maintenance guidance from a PPC lead.

Responsibilities include updating batch offers, material and dispatch plans, cascading plans to sections and shifts, and ensuring timely escalation of issues.

Qualifications

• Essential- Regular Degree / diploma in Metallurgy/ Mechanical /Electrical Engineering.
• Desirable- Degree/PG Diploma in Operation/Production Management.
• Experience- 2-4 years in Production Planning and control in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Create rolling & daily production plans based on customer orders, inventory, machine lead time, manpower, breakdowns, and maintenance guidance.
• Update the finalized production plan, material plan, dispatch plan & maintenance plan in the system.
• Cascade daily plans to section and shift plans with timeframes and milestones; assist in machine loading plans.
• Escalate issues to Lead – Plant PPIC promptly.
• Execute material requirements planning (MRP) per SOPs to determine material needs.
• Modify production plans based on RM/PM stock, breakdowns or priority in discussion with stakeholders.
• Update inventory status, in-process material, production outputs, finished goods, and dispatch status daily.

Qualification:

Essential- Candidate should have Regular Degree / diploma in Metallurgy/ Mechanical /Electrical Engineering from reputed institute.

Desirable - Degree/PG Diploma in Operation/Production Management.

Experience:

Essential - 2-4 years in Production Planning and control at any manufacturing company.

Desirable- Experience in Plant Operation /Maintenance function preferably in the metal Industry in one lac capacity.

Job Profile:

• Responsible for creating rolling & daily production plans for plant based on inputs such as customer orders with priority, available inventory, machine lead time, manpower deployment, breakdowns, planned preventive maintenance and guidance from Lead, PPC
• Update the finalized production plan (batch offers), material plan, dispatch plan & maintenance plan on the system
• Cascade the daily production plan to section wise & shift wise plans with defined timeframes and milestones, Support production team in creation of machine loading plans
• Escalate any issues to Lead – Plant PPIC in a timely manner
• Execute the material requirement planning (MRP) process as per defined SOPs to determine material requirement (RM/PM)
• Responsible for modifications in the production plan, based on available stock of RM/ PM or breakdown or customer order priority in discussion with key stakeholders
• Update status of inventory availability, in-process material, production outputs, finished goods available, current production, previous day's dispatch on a continuous basis.
