Job summary

Reliance Industries Limited in Gujarat is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to conduct rotary engineering and maintenance as per a defined plan, ensuring maximum equipment availability, reliability, and integrity. The role requires robust planning, diagnostics, and proactive problem-solving within the maintenance framework.

You will prepare and execute preventive/predictive maintenance, monitor machine health, and lead root cause analysis to drive reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• 4+ years in engineering & maintenance with rotating equipment experience.
• Knowledge of industry standards and reliability principles.
• Analytical ability and good interpersonal/communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rotary engineering and maintenance activities per defined plans.
• Prepare preventive and predictive maintenance schedules and ensure compliance.
• Perform condition monitoring and analysis of rotating equipment and provide health recommendations.
• Input planning/scheduling for critical rotating equipment overhaul and supervise quality checks.
• Perform failure analysis (RCA) and apply learnings to improve asset reliability.
• Assist plant maintenance in troubleshooting problems and refurbish rotating equipment.
• Optimize maintenance tasks and frequencies; provide spares review support.
• Assist erection and commissioning of new equipment.

• Purpose of the Role - To conduct rotary engineering & maintenance activities as per defined plan and highlight risks on time and sugessting corrective measures, with the objective maximizing equiment availability, reliability and integrity
• Key Responsibilities - List of responsibilities attached to the role are documented below. • Adhere to standard analysis and reporting methods or work instructions
• Follow applicable HSEF procedures/ practices with awareness about environmental statutory regulations and safety protocols
• Keep self abreast with leading rotary maintenance practices & trends and contribute to the identification of continuous improvement of systems, processes and procedures
• Assist peers in daily activities ensuring alignment with approved policies and procedures
• Self-initiative for trainings to enhance competencies and participation in training as per requirement
• Train internal faculty in use of rotary equipment
• Engineering & Maintenance Operations -
• Prepare preventive and predictive maintenance schedules and ensure compliance to the maintenance procedures

Education Requirement

• Necessary: A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)

• Necessary: 4+ years of experience in engineering & maintenance discipline, with at least 1-3 years of experience in rotating equipment trouble shooting, maintenance and condition monitoring, equipment erection and commissioning is required
