Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited in Chennai invites an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to drive design development for automotive aggregates such as engine management, electrical distribution and driver control systems. The role requires deep technical knowledge and hands-on leadership.

You will coordinate with suppliers and internal teams, perform DFMEA and design reviews, and guide DVPR finalization to ensure robust, cost-effective solutions while staying aligned with CMVR regulations.

Qualifications

• BE EE is required.
• 6+ years experience in automotive electrical systems.
• Experience with engine management, electrical distribution and driver control systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead automotive electrical design activities and ensure timely delivery.
• Interface with suppliers and internal/external agencies for system interfacing.
• Contribute to DFMEA, design reviews and finalization of DVPR.

Job description

1) Experience in on Automotive systems Design Development with aggregates like Engine Management system, Electrical Distribution, Driver control systems i.e. Combination switches, all types of switches, Instrument cluster with good understanding of latest technologies.
2) Electrical and Electronic system definitions and capability for technical project management from concept stage to production.
3) Knowledge on legislation applicable forthcoming CMVR.
4) Should have an in depth knowledge on D-FMEA, Design Reviews, SAM finalization of DVPR.
5) Knowledge on Electrical system, trouble shooting techniques, Design optimization, Benchmarking, auto electrical upcoming industry trends.
5) Sensitivity to the value for the money kind of features.
6) Proper interaction communication with supplier and internal and external agencies for Interfacing of system.
7) As a team lead/ competency lead with ensuring timely delivery.
8) Knowledge about Metaphase systems or any other PDM.
