Job summary

Reliance Industries (RIL) seeks a Completion Engineer to provide engineering support and supervision on offshore rigs and shore base preparations. You will plan material movement, review completion options, and coordinate with service companies to execute completions and P&A operations.

Strong HP/HT or UB drilling experience is essential to optimize designs and ensure safety. 4–6 years in drilling and completions, preferably deepwater, with a petroleum engineering background is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering.
• 4–6 years of experience in Drilling & Completions, preferably in Deepwater.
• Experience in High Pressure/High Temperature and/or under-balanced drilling and/or extended reach drilling environments.
• Proficient in completions engineering principles and software applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide completion engineering and supervision support on the rig for ongoing operations and ensure compliance with programs.
• Identify materials and personnel for upcoming operations and plan material movement and logistics.
• Record lessons learned and document improvement opportunities for review and approval.
• Perform incident investigations and document findings.
• Review discovery wells and offset wells to optimize drilling/completion designs.
• Demonstrate HSE performance on completion operations onshore and offshore sites.
• Prepare procedures and programs for wellbore cleanout, lower/upper completion, DST, and P&A operations.
• Coordinate completion design studies and QA/QC of equipment and services.

Job Description:

Provide Completion Engineering and supervision support on the rig for on-going operations like usage of completion equipment, shore base preparation and ensure compliance with completion / intervention / testing program & sound engineering practices.

• Identify materials and personnel required for upcoming operations based on the completion / intervention / testing program and plan material movement & logistics of all resources.
• Record lessons learnt,Identify improvement opportunities for future operations and document them for further review and approval.
• Perform incident investigation and document them.
• Review discovery well and offset wells and develop optimized drilling/completion designs for development.

A. Well Completions:

• To demonstrate and enhance HSE performance of the Company on Completion operations conducted during onshore base equipment preparation and at offshore rig site
• Prepare detailed procedures and programs for Wellbore cleanout and displacements, Lower & Upper Completion installation, Coiled tubing, Tractor operated tools, DST, well intervention and permanent P&A operations for the current well ahead of time in conjunction with various stake holders and service companies.
• Evaluate the completion alternatives developed by service companies to ensure effective, best in class and cost-effective completion technology is employed.
• Associate during QA QC of sand control carrier and associated fluids and its compatibility to the reservoir and completion equipment
• Coordinate Completion design studies.
• Review the certification and fitness of third-party equipment and its acceptance
• Assist in the preparation of Completion AFE & budget.
• To ensure that the stock of Completion equipment and tubular are available to meet the operational requirement.
• Liaise with the Warehouse team for equipment movement to and from offshore along with inventory management.
• Prepare TL and assist during CWOP / IWOP / TWOP / AWOP sessions onshore and Pre completion meetings offshore
• Support the Well Site Supervisor & Completion Supervisor in the implementation of the program, including programme revisions (MOC) during operations.
• Closely monitor the well operations and assist for technical / Logistical support
• Plan the material and personnel movement with service companies to meet the operational requirements in conjunction with the Well Site Supervisor
• Proactively participate in hazard identification (HAZID), hazard operability (HAZOP)meetings
• Preparation of SOW and RFP for lower and upper completion equipment and services like Wellbore cleanout, Coiled tubing, Tractor operated tools, DST, Retrievable Bridge plugs and permanent P&A and its technical evaluation
• Fully conversant with and ability to use Well Plan and Well cat or similar commercially available software for running engineering simulations
• Provide completion and P&A inputs for field development plan.

Skills & Competencies:

Experience in High Pressure/High Temperature and/or under-balanced drilling and/or extended reach drilling environments

• Relevant specialized industry courses in Lower and Upper Completions, completion fluids, Wellbore clean out, CoiledTubing, DST etc
• Proficient in Completions Engineering principles and software applications.

Education:

Bachelors degree in petroleum engineering.

Experience Required:

Minimum of 4 to 6 years' experience in Drilling & Completions, preferably in Deepwater.
