Job summary

Kent PLC is seeking a Systems Completions Database Administrator in Mumbai to coordinate CMS setup, customize databases, and manage the completions pathway and data across global teams. You will work with CMS, P6 planning, and engineering groups to ensure accurate data population and timely handovers.

The role requires 5+ years in oil and gas completions, proficiency with CMS tools, and strong organizational skills to maintain data integrity across multiple locations.

Qualifications

  • Competent Certification professional, Oil Gas / Petrochemical Experienced (5 years minimum).
  • Experience with completions management software and project completion databases.
  • Ability to interpret PIDs, SLDs, Instrumentation Block Diagrams, Schematics and other drawings.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain database accuracy and consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate CMS global administrators for initial CMS setup and database customization.
  • Provide information for initial database configuration including check sheets and role profiles.
  • Develop the Completions Pathway scheme with work breakdown phases and handover gate requirements.
  • Maintain project-specific CMS database management procedures.
  • Structure and populate system and work breakdown hierarchies in CMS.
  • Coordinate with engineering groups to streamline delivery of engineering deliverables.
  • Ensure CMS operations across locations and liaison with commissioning leads for ITRs, FTPs and completion certificates.
  • Set up CMS test environment and verify processes function correctly before production deployment.
  • Provide CMS data feeds between CMS and P6 planning tool.
  • Distribute level-specific role profiles across project personnel awaiting approval.
  • Populate CMS with engineering and completions deliverables, including check sheets and certificates.
  • Provide templates to contractors for non-commissionable tags and ensure data population.
  • Produce standard and custom management reports and ensure check sheets are recorded in CMS.
  • Manage punch lists with CMS workflow and administer the MOC process.
  • Build Handover Package Templates and deliver CMS user training.
  • Assist with CMS modifications and interface with module yards and engineering team to resolve data discrepancies.

Systems Completions Database (SCDB) Administrator

Location: Mumbai

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with Completions Management System (CMS) global administrators for the initial CMS setup and for database customization and updates within their authority and control throughout the project lifecycle (CMS global-level configurations).
  • Provide CMS global administrators with the required information for the initial database configuration, including check sheet requirements, role profile specifications, project logos, and other relevant details.
  • Collaborate with the completions lead to develop the Completions Pathway scheme that lays out work breakdown phases, stages, and handover gate certificate requirements.
  • Develop and maintain the project-specific Systems Completions Database management procedure.
  • Structure and populate system/sub-system and work breakdown hierarchy in CMS.
  • Coordinate with engineering groups to streamline the delivery of engineering deliverables.
  • Coordinate with IT groups to ensure continuous CMS business operations for all workgroups across the projects geographic locations.
  • Liaise with discipline commissioning Leads to produce project-specific Tag Type Matrix (TTM).
  • Liase with commissioning leads to agree on the suite of ITR s, FTPs and Completion Certificates for the project.
  • Set up the CMS test environment and perform essential tests to verify that system processes and work items (tasks, punch list items, certificates, etc.) function correctly and safely, ensuring expected behavior upon deployment to the production site.
  • Liaise with commissioning planning group to set up data feeds between CMS and P6 planning tool.
  • Ensure correct level-specific role profile distribution to project personnel across various workgroups, upon approval by the relevant project authority.
  • Progressive population of engineering deliverables in the CMS (tags, documents).
  • Progressive population of completions deliverables in the CMS (check sheet tasks, certificates, work packages, etc).
  • Coordinate with discipline commissioning leads to validate engineering data and check sheet allocation in CMS, and assist with data updates in CMS as requested.
  • Provide template files to contractors for the submission of non-commissionable tags typically not supplied by the engineering office, and ensure the data population in the database.
  • Produce standard and custom reports for management.
  • Ensure check sheets are recorded correctly in the database and updated progressively.
  • Management of punch lists using CMS workflow.
  • Administer and manage the CMS MOC process.
  • Build Handover Package Templates
  • Provide level-specific CMS user training to project personnel from all workgroups, including CMT, Commissioning, and Operations upon request.
  • Assist with CMS modifications as per project requirements.
  • Interface with module yards for support.
  • Interface with engineering team to resolve any data discrepancies affecting CMS and the completions process.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving CMS-related issues on the project.

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:
  • Competent Certification professional, Oil Gas / Petrochemical Experienced (5 years minimum).
  • Considerable oil and gas project experience, specifically, proven experience with the project completion databases.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Commissioning inclusive of:
  • Experience with completions management software (e.g., Omega PIMS, Hexagon Smart Completions, GoTechnology) and a understanding of completions management processes.
  • Ability to interpret PIDs, Single Line Diagrams, Instrumentation Block Diagrams, Schematics, and other engineering drawings.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain database accuracy and consistency.
Desirable:
  • Experience with large-scale data management tools (e.g., MS Excel/Power Query, MS Access, SQL).
  • Ability to develop Power BI reports.
Communication:
  • Excellent command of the English language in both oral and written communication and skills.

  • Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department
