Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking an engineer with CATIA and HVAC focus to design powertrain cooling systems. You will develop radiator packaging, heat exchangers and plumbing layouts using 3D CAD, and generate 2D drawings for manufacturing.

Collaboration across cross-functional teams and supplier coordination are essential. The ideal candidate has BE/BTech in Regular stream with HVAC specialization and hands-on PLM/3DEXPERIENCE experience, enabling efficient design validation and data

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Strong expertise in CATIA for Powertrain Cooling System design and development, including radiator, heat exchanger packaging, and plumbing layout design.
• Proficient in 3D CAD modeling at part, assembly, and surface modeling levels.
• Extensive experience in engineering drafting and preparation of detailed 2D manufacturing drawings.
• Hands-on experience with PLM and 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) platforms for product lifecycle and data management.
• Proven experience in thermal system development, including supplier coordination, component design, and technical reviews.
• In-depth knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and its application in product development.
• Strong understanding of system/component selection, packaging, and installation feasibility within vehicle architecture.
• Experience in issue resolution during build phases, including GNOVAC activities, validation support, and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of material selection for sheet metal, plastics, rubber hoses, and associated manufacturing processes.
• Ability to manage interface issues, drive cross-functional discussions, and collaborate effectively with CFTs (Cross Functional Teams).
• Skilled in CAD data management, retrieval, configuration control, and documentation management.
• Experience in benchmarking competitor products and industry best practices to support product development initiatives.
