Job summary

CBTS in Bengaluru seeks a security engineer to build and maintain scalable security solutions across applications, cloud, and infrastructure. The role requires ownership of technical security aspects and close collaboration with engineering, cloud, and product teams.

You will conduct vulnerability assessments, monitor incidents, and tune SIEM rules while supporting audits and risk assessments. Mentoring junior engineers will be part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable security solutions across applications, cloud, and infrastructure.
• Handle day to day security engineering activities including configuration and maintenance of firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation with infrastructure teams.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and alerts in a timely manner.
• Maintain and tune SIEM rules, correlation policies, and dashboards for threat visibility.
• Collaborate with IT, Network, and Cloud teams to ensure secure configuration and patch compliance.
• Support audits, compliance checks, and risk assessments for regulatory and internal requirements.
• Prepare and maintain security documentation, SOPs, and incident response playbooks.
• Mentor engineers and junior engineers on routine tasks

This role needs experience in cybersecurity who is ready to take technical ownership and work closely with engineering, cloud, and product teams.
