Job summary

CBTS in Bengaluru is seeking a senior security engineer to lead enterprise security initiatives, designing, implementing and monitoring controls across IT infrastructure. You will configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection, while coordinating vulnerability remediation and incident response.

The role requires hands-on expertise with security tools and cross-team collaboration to ensure secure configuration and continuous monitoring.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring and maintaining security controls across servers and networks.
• Hands-on with vulnerability assessments and remediation coordination.
• Strong knowledge of SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls and endpoint protection.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day security engineering activities, including configuration and maintenance of firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM tools, and endpoint protection systems.
• Implement and optimize security controls across servers, networks, and applications.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation with relevant infrastructure teams.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and alerts in a timely manner.
• Maintain and tune SIEM rules, correlation policies, and dashboards for accurate threat visibility.
• Collaborate with IT, Network, and Cloud teams to ensure secure configuration and patch compliance.
• Conduct root cause analysis for major security incidents and drive corrective actions.
• Support audits, compliance checks, and risk assessments for regulatory and internal requirements.
• Prepare and maintain security documentation, SOPs, and incident response playbooks.
