Job summary

JK Maini Precision Technology in Bengaluru is seeking a Quality Engineer to read drawings, review control plans, and drive PPAP documentation.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes: turning, boring, grinding, milling (CNC & VMC).
• Experience with measuring instruments and quality control.
• 6–10 years in quality function with hands-on new parts development.
• Working knowledge of NPD in IATF-16949 environments.
• Layout inspection of parts.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support part development at supplier end and ensure supplier PPAP for all jobs.

Role & responsibilities

• Read engineering drawings and customer standards, understand all customer requirements and the criticality of the product for fitment and function
• Review control plans and revise the controls based on the capability of the manufacturing process
• Participate in NPD feasibility reviews and highlight risks related to critical measurements
• Prepare gauge requirement plan based on the drawing tolerances and customer standards
• Review PPAP control plan and ensure gauges availability as per ppap plan
• Coordinate for inspection of all samples and prepare inspection reports for PPAP documentation
• Carryout process capability studies for all new parts as required for PPAP
• Analyse customer complaints in PPAP and address through 8D methodology
• Support part development activities at supplier end and ensure supplier PPAP for all job works

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Technical knowledge with manufacturing process, Turning, Boring, Grinding, Milling - CNC & VMC machining
• Quality exposure and experience in handling measuring instruments
• 6 to 10 years of experience in quality function with hands on experience in new parts development
• Working knowledge of NPD in IATF-16949 environment
• Layout inspection of the parts
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
