Job summary

CBTS is seeking a Level 2 Operations Engineer to support large, complex enterprise LAN/WAN environments, with hands-on experience in Cisco routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and SDWAN, plus cloud integrations (Azure, AWS). The role involves troubleshooting, packet capture, monitoring, and driving network analytics to improve performance.

You will collaborate with Incident, Problem and Change Management teams to investigate issues, provide RCA, and ensure service levels are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering (or equivalent).
• 4-year degree or equivalent experience, or an Associate’s degree pathway.
• Extensive experience in large, complex Cisco LAN/WAN environments.
• Proficient in routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
• Strong knowledge of SDWAN, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and related networking appliances.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 operations engineering support for enterprise LAN and WAN networks.
• Analyze network performance and plan improvements.
• Troubleshoot, capture packets, monitor networks and perform analytics.
• Coordinate Change Management activities and document RCA when needed.
• Collaborate with Incident, Problem and Change Management teams to resolve issues within SLA.

Job description

• Provide Level 2 operations engineering expertise to large, complex enterprise LAN and WAN clients in predominantly Cisco networking environments.
• In-depth Routing Protocols experience and operational knowledge: EIGRP, OSPF & BGP.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of SDWAN, F5 LTM/GTM, VMWare Avi, Azure & AWS Cloud and Aviatrix.
• Design and deployment-Architect and deploy enterprise – scale firewall solutions using Fortinet and palo alto platforms
• Hands-on experience with Troubleshooting, Packet capture, Monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools,
• Analyze the Network performance and prepare plan for improvements
• Review scripting, planning and execution of network Change Management process Investigate network issues / incidents and bring to resolution within stated SLA parameters
• Working with Incident, Problem, and Change Management Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to operations team and customers upon request

• Previous Job Experience:
• Network operations experience and expertise in a variety of equipment, predominantly Cisco LAN and WAN in large, complex, enterprise environments.
• Experience using network analysis, management, and performance monitoring tools to plan for growth, diagnose problems and determine source.
• Education:
• 4-year Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering (or) Three years of College or Technical School resulting in an Associate’s Degree or equivalent.
