Job summary

Xperi Inc. in Bengaluru, India seeks a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise networks globally. You will work with the Global IT team to build resilient private and public network infrastructure and guide best practices across sites.

The role emphasizes complex problem solving, advanced networking skills, and collaboration with vendors and internal teams to deliver scalable network solutions for employees worldwide.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Next generation Firewall Setup and Configuration.
• In-depth routing skills: TCP/IP, LACP, LLDP, VXLAN, BFD, OSPF, BGP, IPSEC.
• Experience with routing, VPN encryption, modern switching, and firewall policy implementation.
• Experience with Juniper and Cisco hardware.
• 7+ years of Enterprise and Data center Networking.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance and upgrade of networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems.
• Monitor network connectivity and ensure high-quality data transmission.
• Liaise with network engineers, vendors, and third parties in network operations.
• Participate in capacity planning and disaster recovery planning.
• Provide regular status, incident, and change reports.
• Experience with Cloud computing platforms (AWS).

As Senior Network Engineer you’ll play a role to support company wide network environments as part of Global IT team. You will be working very closely with other global team members to support the enterprise network and come up with world class network for our employees.

This role independently supports the global design, implementation, and maintenance of private and public network infrastructure. Provides guidance and expertise to management and users on topics surrounding strategy and best practices. Solves complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions. Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Advanced individual contributor who works on highly complex problems, tasks, or projects.

What you will get to do:

• Coordinates maintenance and upgrade of networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and network management systems.
• Accountable for appropriate monitoring of network connectivity and ensures high quality data transmission. Provides technical support to various departments and users with regards to LAN/MAN/WAN (local/metropolitan/wide area networks) and cloud-based networks.
• Serve as a liaison with network engineers, vendors, and other third-party providers in network operation and project activities.
• Participates in capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and disaster recovery testing.
• Provides regular status, operational, incident, and change reports.
• Experience with Cloud computing platforms. (AWS)

Must have:

• Expertise in Next generation Firewall Setup and Configuration
• In-depth knowledge on routing protocols TCP/IP, LACP, LLDP, VXLAN, BFD, OSPF, BGP, IPSEC
• Working experience with routing protocols, VPN encryption Technologies, modern switching platforms and firewalls including policy implementation.
• Expert in the configuration, design and management of network equipment including switches, routers, load balancers, and firewalls.
• Experience working with hardware platforms Juniper, and Cisco must.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge.
• 7+ years of experience in Enterprise and Data center Networking

Nice to have:

• Working knowledge in SDWAN
• Experience with managing redundant data circuits DIA, SDWAN, Amazon Dx,
• Hands-on experience using monitoring tools, automation tools (Python, Terraform, Github) etc.
• Experience working with AWS, Azure and GCP networking.
• Experience in AI tools and technologies.
