Job summary

MAHLE in Madhya Pradesh, India invites an experienced Maintenance Engineer to oversee reliable operation, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment and utility systems. You will lead maintenance plans, monitor KPIs, and ensure maximum uptime with timely actions.

You will supervise a team, coordinate with procurement for critical spares, and uphold EHS standards, audits, and safety procedures as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on hydraulic, pneumatic, and filtration troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation.
• Experience with gearboxes, belts, pulleys, couplings, and bearings in power transmission.
• Machine geometry verification, alignment, and precision leveling
• Automation system installation, commissioning, and maintenance
• Familiarity with Junker/ Toyoda/ Danobat grinders is a plus
• Mechanical retro-fitment of machines and sub-assemblies
• Maintenance of linear axis, rotary axis, and spindle assemblies
• Lubrication and coolant management for multiple machines and utilities
• Knowledge of utilities: compressor, chillers, cooling tower, AHU, diesel gensets

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans.
• Develop routine maintenance plans and execute activities.
• Ensure maximum uptime of machines and utilities via timely corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs and KRAs for maintenance performance.
• Diagnose faults and implement effective corrective actions.
• Improve equipment reliability using TPM, RCM, CAPA, and root cause analyses.
• Maintain daily maintenance records and prepare performance reports.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with procurement for critical spares.
• Ensure EHS compliance, LOTO, Permit-to-Work, and OHSAS requirements.
• Supervise, train, and coordinate shift operations and team workload.
• Prepare maintenance documentation for internal, customer, and audits.

• Responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of mechanical equipment and utility systems through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.

Your Contribution

• Responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of mechanical equipment and utility systems through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.

Maintenance Operations

• Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans.
• Develop routine maintenance plans and activity execution
• Ensure maximum uptime of machines and utility systems through timely corrective actions.
• Monitor and achieve maintenance objectives, KPIs, and KRAs.

Troubleshooting & Repairs

• Diagnose equipment faults and implement effective corrective actions

Equipment Reliability

• Improve equipment reliability using TPM and RCM methodologies, including CAPA, Why-Why Analysis, and Pareto Analysis.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily maintenance records and prepare performance reports.

Spare Parts Management

• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with procurement and other stakeholders to ensure timely availability of critical spares.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow EHS standards and Work Safety Management (LOTO).
• Ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work procedures.
• Ensure compliance with EHS/OHSAS requirements, including Aspect-Impact assessments and HIRA for machines and utility systems.

Team Coordination

• Supervise and train new team members
• Manage shift operations, manpower deployment, and resource utilization.

Audits

• Ensure timely preparation and availability of maintenance documentation for internal, customer, and certification audits.

Your Experience And Qualification

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (10–15 years’ experience)
• OR Degree in Mechanical Engineering (7–10 years’ experience)

Minimum Requirements

• Hands-on experience in hydraulic, pneumatics & filtration including troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation.
• Experience in power transmission systems including gearboxes, belts, pulleys, couplings, and bearings.
• Machine geometry verification, alignment, and precision leveling.
• Knowledge of mechanical aspects of automation systems, including installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of precision grinding machines such as Junker, Toyoda and Danobat centerless and cylindrical grinders.
• Knowledge of Mechanical Retro-fitment of machines and sub-assemblies.
• Maintenance of Linear axis, Rotary axis & spindle Mechanical Assemblies.
• Machine Geometry and levelling.
• Tool change & pallet change mechanisms and associated operating cycles.
• Machine Lubrication and Coolant Management.
• Knowledge of operation and maintenance of utilities like Compressor, Chillers, Cooling Tower, AHU, Air conditioners Diesel Generators, etc.
• Knowledge of new automation system (Robots, Gantry & Stacker system) installation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of New machines installations and commissioning.
