Job summary

MAHLE in India is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to oversee reliable operation and continuous improvement of mechanical equipment and utility systems. You will lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs, driving uptime and asset reliability across production facilities.

The role requires hands-on experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, filtration systems, and gear transmissions, plus knowledge of automation installations and retrofits.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in hydraulic, pneumatic systems and filtration.
• Experience in power transmission systems including gearboxes, belts, pulleys, couplings, and bearings.
• Machine geometry verification, alignment, and precision leveling.
• Knowledge of automation systems installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of mechanical retro-fitment of machines and sub-assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliable operation and preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment and utilities.
• Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans.
• Improve equipment reliability using TPM and RCM methodologies (CAPA, Why-Why, Pareto).
• Maintain daily maintenance records and prepare performance reports.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with procurement for timely availability of spares.
• Follow EHS standards and permit-to-work procedures; ensure compliance with OHSAS/EHS requirements.
• Supervise and train team members; manage shift operations, manpower deployment, and resources.
• Ensure preparation and availability of maintenance documentation for audits.

Your Contribution

• Responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of mechanical equipment and utility systems through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.

Maintenance Operations

• Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans.
• Develop routine maintenance plans and activity execution
• Ensure maximum uptime of machines and utility systems through timely corrective actions.
• Monitor and achieve maintenance objectives, KPIs, and KRAs.
• Diagnose equipment faults and implement effective corrective actions

Equipment Reliability

• Improve equipment reliability using TPM and RCM methodologies, including CAPA, Why-Why Analysis, and Pareto Analysis.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily maintenance records and prepare performance reports.

Spare Parts Management

• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with procurement and other stakeholders to ensure timely availability of critical spares.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow EHS standards and Work Safety Management (LOTO).
• Ensure compliance with Permit-to-Work procedures.
• Ensure compliance with EHS/OHSAS requirements, including Aspect-Impact assessments and HIRA for machines and utility systems.

Team Coordination

• Supervise and train new team members
• Manage shift operations, manpower deployment, and resource utilization.

Audits

• Ensure timely preparation and availability of maintenance documentation for internal, customer, and certification audits.

Your Experience and Qualification

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (10–15 years’ experience)
• OR Degree in Mechanical Engineering (7–10 years’ experience)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Hands-on experience in hydraulic, pneumatics & filtration including troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation.
• Experience in power transmission systems including gearboxes, belts, pulleys, couplings, and bearings.
• Machine geometry verification, alignment, and precision leveling.
• Knowledge of mechanical aspects of automation systems, including installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of precision grinding machines such as Junker, Toyoda and Danobat centerless and cylindrical grinders.
• Knowledge of Mechanical Retro-fitment of machines and sub-assemblies.
• Maintenance of Linear axis, Rotary axis & spindle Mechanical Assemblies.
• Machine Geometry and levelling.
• Tool change & pallet change mechanisms and associated operating cycles.
• Machine Lubrication and Coolant Management.
• Knowledge of operation and maintenance of utilities like Compressor, Chillers, Cooling Tower, AHU, Air conditioners Diesel Generators, etc.
• Knowledge of new automation system (Robots, Gantry & Stacker system) installation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of New machines installations and commissioning.
