Job summary

JobItUs is seeking a Sr. Engineer – IM to join our automotive manufacturing team near Bhilad, Gujarat. The role focuses on setting and optimizing injection moulding processes, achieving OEE targets, and driving PQCDSME improvements.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in injection moulding, knowledge of plastics, and hands-on leadership. Diploma/B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical or Plastic engineering is preferred, with exposure to IATF 16949 standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical or Plastic engineering.
• 5–7 years experience in injection moulding manufacturing.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 processes.

Responsibilities

• Set and optimize injection moulding processes.
• Handle injection moulding machines (50T–1200T).
• Achieve production and OEE targets.
• Reduce rejection, scrap, and cycle time.
• Perform mould changeover and reduce setup time.
• Coordinate mould and machine preventive maintenance.
• Ensure defect‑free production as per quality standards.
• Monitor process parameters and SOP compliance.
• Conduct new mould/tool trials and maintain records.
• Maintain production and material reconciliation records.
• Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
• Maintain 5S and shop floor discipline.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 documentation.
• Analyze process issues and implement corrective actions.
• Train operators on process and quality requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement (PQCDSME).
