Job summary

JB Poindexter (India) Private Limited in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Engineer (Bill of Materials) to lead offshore BOM activities, ensure engineering data accuracy, and coordinate between Engineering, Manufacturing, and Routing to support production requirements.

You will review ECOs, release drawings in the PDM system, manage BOMs, and participate in audits while driving continuous improvement and data integrity across ERP tools, including JDE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 8–12 years of BOM, manufacturing and engineering design experience.
• Experience with configurator systems and ERP systems (JDE), pricing tools preferred.
• Strong analytical and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review shop order changes to assess cost impact.
• Support and actively participate in team initiatives.

Position Summary:

The Senior Engineer (Bill of Materials) is responsible for leading offshore BOM activities for and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of engineering product data. This role manages Bill of Materials-related engineering processes, reviews incoming ECOs, orders, and shop order changes for accuracy, interprets technical drawings and engineering documentation, and serves as a key point of coordination between Engineering, Manufacturing, Routing, and other functional teams to support production requirements.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering.
• 8-12 years of experience in BOM, manufacturing and engineering design environments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Experience with configurator systems, ERP systems - JDE, or pricing tools preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
