Job summary

JBPCO India is seeking a Finance Business Analyst to lead financial functions and improvements within the organization. This role requires at least 8 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with expertise in J.D. Edwards ERP systems. You will participate in strategy planning, ensure successful project completions, and lead change initiatives. A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Information Systems is required, and CA or ICWA is preferred. Strong analytical and leadership skills are essential.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide vision, leadership and drive process changes and improvements within the financial functions.
• Participate in strategy planning activities, and be the functional leader in the analysis, requirement development, design, documentation, and testing for all financial system enhancements and changes.
• Work closely with BU functional representatives in the development of simplified/lean process improvements or operating practices that maximize the use of systems to improve quality, increase productivity and support business goals.
• Develop peer, cross‑functional and cross‑BU relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness.
• Ensure timely completion of project tasks and activities within the functional area by directing activities of others as well as maintaining individual project responsibilities.
• Develop functional training and coordinate ongoing functional support, including the development of BU “super users”.
• Act as a functional change agent by creating a sense of purpose to meet business goals and lead by example.
• Own issue/risk identification, escalation, resolution and communication with the project team and functional management, including BU functional leaders.
• Assure conformance to system architecture, methods, standards, and practices and promote their creation.
• Analyze the BU’s competitive position in technology use relative to industry best practices.
• Prepare, present and review overall plans, status reviews and reports as required by project and with BU responsibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Information Systems.
• Strong accounting background; cost accounting a plus.
• 8+ years’ experience as a Finance Business Analyst in a manufacturing environment; automotive experience a plus.
• CA or ICWA preferred.
• In‑depth knowledge of J.D. Edwards ERP System and associated modules with general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, manufacturing accounting, product costing, and fixed asset modules.
• Knowledge and experience with Avalara or Vertex; Avalara preferred.
• Experience with Reports Now/E1, Financial Report Writer, FASTR or similar.
• Proven record of accomplishment in implementing change.
• Strong data analytic skills including SQL query development.
• High level of initiative and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize daily workload and work in a team environment.
• Ability to work independently, identify priorities and work successfully with minimal supervision.
• Drive to continue learning and growing in JD Edwards Citizen Developer Tools and other third‑party reporting and analytics tools.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to influence and engage others across multiple teams.
• Quality- and cost-driven mindset.
• Ability to travel 10‑15% to domestic locations for JD Edwards rollouts over the next two years.
