G R Infraprojects is seeking a project execution professional to lead the completion of a transmission line stretch. The role focuses on timely delivery, prioritization of activities, and efficient use of manpower, materials, and machinery while coordinating with the quality team.

The incumbent will resolve operational issues, ensure adherence to client and government quality standards, and maintain secure project documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Diploma holders with 3-7 years experience in civil/mechanical/electrical fields.
• BE/BTech with 2-5 years experience in relevant transmission projects.
• MTech with 2-4 years experience in transmission line projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily resource requirements (manpower, equipment) to optimize execution.
• Manage staff and coordinate with supervisors/subcontractors for timely completion.
• Read drawings and schedule activities like excavation, layering, crushing, and manage fleets and labor.
• Update seniors on project progress and request inputs to ensure smooth execution.
• Review progress against schedule and report deviations with data for RFIs.
• Ensure deliverables meet timelines and quality standards set by client/government.
• Document project information and reporting through DPR and other mechanisms.
• Resolve project-specific issues and ensure timely reporting.
• Handle employee grievances appropriately.

Role Purpose

The role holder is accountable for the completion of the assigned stretch of Transmission line unit of the project. The purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth execution of the allotted project within timelines and quality through prioritisation of the activities to ensure efficient utilisation of people, material and machinery and collaboration with the quality team. The incumbent is also responsible for resolving operational issues to ensure minimal impact on the project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Determine and plan the requirement of resources on a daily basis (manpower, equipment etc.) that effectively allocates the resources to the execution activities.
• Manage project staff according to established policies and practices of the organization. Facilitate existing supervisors/ subcontractors to ensure smooth completion of assigned activities.
• Perform operational activities like reading the drawings, creating schedule for activities like excavation, layering, crushing etc. and managing fleets, labour and production activities of the team.
• Apprise the GRIL seniors of the project progress and request for support/ necessary inputs to ensure smooth project execution.
• Frequent review of Project progress and identify underlying deviations from schedule. Review the project schedule with the concerned authorities and the senior management through daily progress report and collect accurate data for raising an RFI.
• Ensure that the project deliverables are on time and at the required level of quality.
• Review with In-charge/ Section In-charge and look for the most appropriate solutions to the prevailing concerns as per the project cycle. Ensure compliance with quality standards set by the client and government.
• Ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured through the DPR and other reporting mechanisms.
• Resolve any issues related to specific project and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Ensure that all employee grievances are handled in an appropriate manner.

Indicative Experience and Exposure

• Diploma in Civil/ Mechanical / Electrical with 3-7 years experience.
• BE/ B. Tech with 2-5 years experience.
• M. Tech with 2-4 years experience.
• Experience in handling Transmission line work with scope across 2-5 km in a PT & D project.
