Job summary

Reliance Elektrik Works seeks a capable project leader to drive end-to-end POWER transmission and substation projects, including 132kV/220kV/400kV lines. You will coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning, while ensuring schedules, budgets and safety standards are met.

Role requires managing multiple sites, liaising with stakeholders, and readiness to relocate to the NCR region and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of POWER transmission/substation line projects, from foundation to handover, ensuring timelines, budgets and quality.
• Supervise 132kV, 220kV, and 400kV transmission line/substation projects and various conductor types.
• Manage multiple projects/sites simultaneously with HO oversight; perform site visits as needed.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Testing & Commissioning, Planning and Quality teams to resolve issues.
• Monitor progress against schedules, milestones, budgets and resources; implement corrective actions.
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE, quality standards, drawings, specs and client requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and vendors to resolve site issues.
• Review site progress reports, DPRs, schedules and quality records; provide updates to management.
• Conduct periodic site inspections/reviews to assess progress, safety, productivity and compliance.
• Support resource planning, contractor performance monitoring, material coordination and cost control.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, statutory inspections and final handover of projects.
• Identify risks and provide practical solutions; escalate to senior management as needed.
• Be willing to relocate to NCR region and travel to sites as required.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end execution of POWER transmission/ Substation line projects, covering foundation works, tower erection, conductor stringing, testing, commissioning, and final project handover, ensuring completion within approved timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Manage and supervise 132kV, 220kV, and 400kV transmission line/Substation projects, including projects involving various conductor types and associated transmission line construction activities.
• Handle multiple transmission projects/sites simultaneously, with overall project monitoring and coordination from the Head Office (HO), while conducting site visits, inspections, and reviews as required based on project priorities and management instructions.
• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Testing & Commissioning, Planning, and Quality teams to ensure effective project execution and timely resolution of technical and operational issues.
• Monitor project progress across multiple sites against approved project schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource plans, identifying potential delays and risks and implementing appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE, quality standards, statutory requirements, approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and client requirements throughout all project activities.
• Coordinate and manage clients, contractors, consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth execution and resolve site-related technical, commercial, and operational issues.
• Review site progress reports, DPRs, schedules, quality records, and other project documentation from HO and provide management with regular updates on progress, risks, resource requirements, delays, and critical issues.
• Conduct periodic site inspections and project reviews as directed by management to assess progress, quality, safety, productivity, and compliance, and ensure timely closure of observations.
• Support effective resource planning, contractor performance monitoring, material coordination, and cost control to optimize project execution and minimize time and cost overruns.
• Ensure proper coordination for testing, commissioning, statutory inspections, energization, documentation, and final handover of completed transmission line projects.
• Proactively identify project risks and execution challenges across multiple sites and provide practical solutions and timely escalation to senior management whenever required.
• Candidate must be willing to relocate to the NCR region at their own expense, based on project and business requirements, and travel to project sites as required by management.
