Sr. Electrical Technical Design Manager - Dry Transformers

Location: Cairo, Egypt | Duration: Full Time | Department: Technical Office | Reporting to: Technical Office Director

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Technical Design Manager with strong expertise in Dry Type or Cast Resin (CRT) Transformers. The role involves leading the design and engineering team, overseeing transformer design projects, and ensuring compliance with international standards and client specifications. Lead and manage the design team for dry type/CRT transformer projects. Drive the strategic leadership and oversight of all electrical and mechanical design functions within the Technical Office. Ensure technical excellence, process standardization, and alignment with organizational goals for transformer product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall design strategy for electrical and mechanical disciplines, aligned with business goals and innovation priorities.
• Drive adoption of advanced design technologies and tools, including automation, AI/ML, and digital twins, across all design functions.
• Lead design governance to ensure compliance with international standards, quality, and sustainability objectives.
• Collaborate with R&D and executive leadership to guide product development and integrate new technologies.
• Oversee design standardization and optimization efforts to enhance efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness across electrical and mechanical designs.
• Manage project prioritization, resource allocation, and timely delivery of high-quality design outputs.
• Monitor key performance indicators and drive continuous improvements in design processes.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing, multidisciplinary team of engineers and technical specialists.
• Serve as the primary interface for key internal and external stakeholders on all design matters.
• Oversee risk management related to technical liabilities, intellectual property, and design quality.
