Job summary

Refroid Technologies is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer – Product Development to lead electrical design for HVAC and refrigeration products.

You will create wiring diagrams, control schematics, and panel layouts, select components, perform load analyses, and ensure safety and compliance. The role interfaces with mechanical, manufacturing, procurement and quality teams to move concepts to production with cost efficiency and robust validation.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / B.E in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering is required.
• Certifications in PLC, automation, or electrical design tools are an advantage.
• Experience in product-based manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and control schematics for HVAC and refrigeration products.
• Develop control panels and electrical layouts for product integration.
• Prepare electrical calculations including load analysis, cable sizing, and protection coordination.
• Support new product development (NPD) and engineering change management.
• Create and maintain SLDs, wiring schematics, BOMs, and technical specifications.
• Develop and execute validation and reliability test plans.
• Coordinate third-party testing and certifications when required.
• Collaborate with manufacturing during prototype/pilot builds and optimize for manufacturability.

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Sr. Electrical Engineer – Product Development with hands-on experience in designing and developing electrical systems for manufactured products. The ideal candidate should have worked in a product-based company and possess strong expertise in electrical design, component selection, control panel development, testing, and product validation.

This role will work closely with mechanical design, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to develop innovative and cost-effective products from concept through production release.

Key Responsibilities

Product Design & Development

• Design and develop electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and control schematics for HVAC and refrigeration products.
• Select electrical components such as contactors, relays, MCBs, transformers, sensors, PLCs, VFDs, and HMI systems.
• Develop control panels and electrical layouts for product integration.
• Prepare electrical calculations including load analysis, cable sizing, and protection coordination.
• Support new product development (NPD) and engineering change management.

Documentation

• Create and maintain:
• Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
• Wiring Schematics
• Panel Layouts
• Bills of Materials (BOM)
• Technical Specifications
• Test Procedures and Reports

Testing & Validation

• Develop and execute validation and reliability test plans.

• Resolve shop-floor electrical issues.

• Recommend design improvements based on field and customer feedback.
