Job summary

Genpact in Mumbai is seeking a skilled Workday HCM Integration Engineer to design, develop, test, and support integrations across payroll, benefits, and HR data flows. You will work with EIB, Workday Studio, and Core Connectors to deliver reliable interfaces, data loads, and transformation rules.

Ideal candidates have a background in Computer Engineering/CS/IT with a strong grasp of integration patterns, security, and deployment documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degrees in Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
• Masters in Software Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience with Workday HCM integrations and enterprise systems desired.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support Workday HCM integrations.
• Develop inbound/outbound integrations using EIB, Workday Studio, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Create and maintain Workday reports and transformation mappings.
• Configure security, ISU, and access controls for integrations.
• Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Prepare deployment docs and integration specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Workday HCM integrations .
• Develop inbound and outbound integrations using: Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) Workday Studio Core Connectors Cloud Connect Workday Web Services REST/SOAP APIs
• Develop and maintain Workday reports , including: Advanced Reports Matrix Reports Composite Reports Custom Reports Calculated Fields
• Build integration transformations using technologies such as XML and XSLT .
• Configure and maintain integration-related security, including Integration System Users (ISU) and security groups.
• Perform Workday data loads, data extraction, transformation, and validation using EIB and other Workday tools.
• Work with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical designs.
• Create technical design documents, integration specifications, mapping documents, and deployment documentation .
• Develop integrations between Workday and external systems such as: Payroll systems Benefits providers Identity and access management systems Finance/ERP platforms Recruiting platforms Third‑party HR applications
• Perform unit testing, system integration testing, regression testing, and deployment validation.
• Troubleshoot integration failures, reporting issues, data discrepancies, and production incidents.
• Monitor scheduled integrations and resolve integration errors within agreed SLAs.
• Support Workday implementation, enhancement, migration, and production‑support activities.
• Perform impact analysis for Workday releases and implement required technical changes.
• Follow Workday development standards, security requirements, and change‑management processes.
