A leading EPC company in Mumbai seeks a Senior TL Detail Engineering – Mechanical / Electrical to head a team of design engineers for Petro Retail networks. You will supervise layouts, piping and equipment design, SOQ/MTO work, and coordination with consultants to ensure safe, compliant project delivery.

The role emphasizes training, standards development, and continuous improvement in HSSE practices, with a focus on reliability and timely execution in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Lead team of design engineers for Petro Retail network.
Work on layout of retail outlets.
Planning and design of piping and equipment layout.
Preparation of Schedule of Quantity (SOQ).
Preparation of Material Take-Off (MTO).
Interaction with consultants on review of drawings.
Fitment and conceptual preparation (layout preparation).
Engineer and implement projects to meet business requirements.
Develop standard engineering drawings and specifications based on design basis.
Deliver timely deliverables as per agreed norms of quality and HSSE.
Incorporate new developments in design and standards.
Stay abreast of developments in technology, industry and competition.
Develop layout drawings for gaseous fuels retail outlets such as CNG/LNG as standalone or (note: incomplete specification).
Co-located as per statutory requirements.
Resolve queries received from project managers, sites, statutory authorities etc.
People development for enhanced capability and productivity.
Develop training modules and conduct training programs.
Create in-house competency to meet all engineering needs.
Bring focus and continually improve practices related to HSSE.
Review and incorporate safety aspects/checks in existing designs and ensure awareness by available communication avenues.
Perform root cause analysis of accidents / near-miss reports; implement corrective actions to avoid recurrence.
Asset management to enhance reliability and productivity.
Carry out root-cause analysis of failures and provide optimum solutions to enhance reliability.
